The Dalai Lama touches noses to greet, known as Hongi, with Maori Symon Knuckey of the Te Roopu Kapahaka O Waitaira tribe as friends look on at the Pipitea Marae meeting house in Wellington, Monday, May 27, 2002. The Dalai Lama arrived in Wellington, New Zealand, Monday May 27, 2002 for a brief tour of New Zealand. Hongi is traditional Maori welcome. His speech was amazing and a wonderful tribute to those who gave their lives so others could live free. I taped it for our troops. I hope that it gives them inspiration.
President Bush is followed by Secretary of State Colin Powell (who reminds the disgraced impeached X-president Clintoon just what a little man he is) and National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, at left, upon their arrival at Rome's Ciampino military airport, Monday, May 27, 2002. Bush will see Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi later Monday and will attend a NATO-Russia summit along with heads of state of all member nations and Russia's President Vladimir Putin at Pratica di Mare, outside Rome, Italy Tuesday, May 28, 2002. (AP Photo/Andrew Medichini) Thanks so much for taping the President's speech for our troops. You are a sweetheart!
Today is especially happy and memorable for me -- my grown-up daughter's birthday! Seems like only yesterday that she danced into the world. Literally. We'd been out dancing at a party the night before and when I got home, the baby wouldn't stop dancing....I sat in a chair all night and watched her high-kicking her way into the world, as if to say, "if it's that much fun out there, I'm coming." She was born at 10:30 a.m. May 27th and hasn't stopped dancing yet.
STAR WARS The Middle East Connection
My favorites are Bush is Luke, Rice as Princess Leia, Bush 41 as Obi-Wan, Algore as Trees of Endor and my absolute favorite is Don Rumsfeld as Hans Solo.
| How proud you must be... |
But then he grew up to be a great dog..
| I'm grilling lobster tails, kicking back with a Jamesons and a cigar. |
Then I will walk across the street to the 157-year old cemetary and pay my respects at the Civil War, WW2 and VietNam graves of those who fell in battle.
I'd love it if you could join me...
Yes, yes, yes, the Toon seems to be taking the long way home. Another scandal perhaps coming out this week? And where's the bitch Hillary? Didn't she come out of her hole to honor our service men and women today? Somehow it would be nice of the Toon took a slow boat back tothe states. maybe the boat could get lost somewhere.
About the puppy. Why oh why would someone even give him another dog? Poor thing. When my dogs were puppies, I'd have them sleep with me at least for the first month. They are so scared and in need of security and comfort. Poor doggie.
Powell: "I saw dash-holes. And it really is this big."
I wonder if he knows about the new 36 hour Viagra get the doctors have discovered...probably a bad idea to make it public, Clinton will try and buy some!
Woo Hoo! You go girl!
Oh good Lord! I can't think of anything I like, that I would want to do for 36 hours. EWWW! Can anyone imagine being with Toon for 36 hours, Oh Gosh!
He was a handsome man. He died 11 years ago of cancer, unfortunately. I still miss him.
