National Geographic claims that these two photographs are of the same woman, the first which appeared on their cover in 1985.

I remember the cover photo very well. IMO, they are *quite* obviously, for good reasons, not the same person, but National Geographic is convinced they are. What do you all think?

Yeah, it's her. They subjected the two photos to a whole battery of tests.
