The Barbara Bush story is definitely embellished. The Bush twins have had beefed up SS protection since 9/11. No way would the SS allow someone to even touch her purse, much less remove it.

TAXES: Just picked mine up at the accountant's office and dropped them at the post office. Now the wait for the refund check. Does anyone know how far behind they are this year. Should I go shopping now or wait till next month? Is there a web site that tell all? Where is Cleo when we need her?

Yes, I finally found all my paperwork and the taxes are done. I am so glad I saw the local news tonight. Turns out that since they switched where Michigan sends their federal taxes, they don't have to be postmarked until Tuesday. They said we have to send them to Massachusetts which has a state holiday tomorrow. I had already filled out an envelope for Cincinnatti. That could have been a real mess.
