I use Google everyday too. As a matter of fact, I just found an old friend, that I haven't seen in 25 years, using Google. I had tried the people locators/white pages with no results. His name is listed on only one web page. Google found it!

Actually, Google likes fresh content (it will look up your page often if you're constantly updating), and it likes well-connected sites that are linked to a lot. What OTHER people say about you in their links is very important. In a way, it's like democracy on the web...

Google is great.
I used Dejanews for years and was afraid that Google would ruin a good thing when they took over. It turns out that they made a good thing much much better.

Copernic? It submits your query to Google and something like fifteen other search engines simultaneously. And it's free!
