TOPEKA, Kan. - A marriage between a man and a transsexual woman is not valid in Kansas, the state Supreme Court declared Friday.
The justices ruled in the case of J'Noel Gardiner, whose right to inherit half of her late husband's $2.5 million estate has been challenged because she was born a man.

Although they are rare, there are cases where newborns have genitalia which are not well-formed as either male or female, and there have been cases where a doctor has marked as a "girl" an infant who in fact was not only genetically XY but in fact had testes. While I do not doubt that 99.44% of "sex change" operations are nothing more than genital mutilations which serve no useful purpose, there have been and no doubt will be some cases which are not so clear-cut (though I would expect genetic testing and sonography would make these less likely).
How would you propose the state should deal with this?
Additionally, if a court in any state recognizes that a person has changed sex, absent federal legislation to the contrary, wouldn't all states be bound to recognize same?
Not at all. I think GLSEN are despicable and should be run out on a rail from anyplace they show themselves. That doesn't mean I think it's anyone's business what people do in their bedroom, but gays' agenda goes far beyond that.
On the other hand, I have read of cases of people whose birth certificates show their sex opposite what they undeniably are. Whether this happens due to a clerical error or genetic abnormality (there exist XY females or XX males; I believe both types of people are usually sterile though I'm not sure. I do recall reading that single-X females and XXY males are sterile.) it would seem there must be some procedure by which someone can go to court and get such an error corrected.
As for whether it's proper for states to recognize sex changes done in other states, it would seem that absent federal legislation the full faith and credit clause would apply to such things if recognized judicially in any state. Perhaps such legislation would be appropriate, though I don't think it happens often enough to worry too much about either way.
Speaking of once a man....has anyone else noticed that Andrea Yates SISTER talks and looks like a man??? THe first time I saw this woman I thought it was a joke..I thought it was a man just dressed up like a woman and that everyone else knew it.
Notice it next time if you can.....this sister had to be a man.

2) The time they spend doing these operations could be better spent helping people with medical rather than mental problems.

No person can ever have a "sex change." The use of the language has been so twisted by the leftist radicals, that in our touchy-feely world, many blindly accept some of these erroneous terminologies.
XX or XY chromosones can't be changed after conception when mitosis begins.
The physicians who do this should not be allowed to practice medicine. The same goes for breast implants: instead of lawsuits against Dow-Corning, the doctors who implanted the silicone bags should be held liable...
They are still genetically male or female.They are sterile. XO (Turner syndrome), XXY (Klinefelter syndrome), XXX (poly-X syndrome), and XYY (Jacob syndrome). No matter how many X chromosones there are, any individual with a Y chromosone developes into a male. These abnormalities are so few, only one in thousands occur.
So much for the "gay" gene - - it does not exist.
