Gee. I happen to have the "Handy Volume Issue" of the 11th edition. It had belonged to my grandfather.
I have used it for historical references because it is more informative than most modern encyclopedias.

That is really cool, Doctor Stochastic! I checked out Afghanistan. I guess you have to go a subject earlier than the one you are looking to find. This is great!

Thank you so much for this. I've been over there for a while, very interesting. This was scanned and there are many scanning-type errors, more than one would think necessary, but even so, a real find.
