"Weather is a big thing... changing all the time."

It comes very close to being a hobby for me, I am thinking about it all the time. I've got an anemometer on my roof and a cloud chart on my office wall.

But people who spend some time outdoors usually feel obliged to study weather some...that must be true of a trail rider too, I am sure?

Important for a trail rider, and also important for pilot! I had a full year of meteorology in college. Everyone's weather is interesting... yours is interesting for your hurricanes.... unbelievably powerful and amazing storms. Ours is interesting because it is hard to predict, constantly changable. I like to read the sky... and see signs of what is to come. I still look at a sky and rate it in catagories of visibility and turbulence without even thinking about it!
