You need a notebook where you can scribble down ideas, names, whatever. They're incredibly useful! I have one that fits in my purse.

Try brainstorming, just think of a silly or poignant or neat idea and see where it leads you - throw in something weird just for fun and see what happens!

In the first place, dwarves don't carry purses.

But I do have a large (folio-size) Daytimer. (I'm not into the Palm Pilot thing...yet). I'm thinking I wrote it down in there, 'cause that's were I usually would. I've got a file for writing resoucse also.
