We did a 15 forced march at MWTC, increasin' 5,000 ft in altitude...Telemark skis, 80 lb rucks and draggin 35-50 sleds...we were stripped down, only wearing capilene shirts, lite gloves, and cotton cammie trousers...it was about 18 degrees, but we were sweatin...a storm blew in fast, next thing we new, it was 10 below and white out...we were just about to the meadow we were hiking to, so we pushed on, dropped the sleds and rucks, took out our day packs with survival gear, and skied back to base camp...what a blast...goin top-speed in white out...it's amazing no one died....what an awesome time...

You know when Churchill said "there's nothing more exhilirating than being shot at in anger to no effect"?
Well, that's what it feels like skiing down a mountain in a white-out, and making it to the bottom uninjured.
