Here's a picture of my kitchen (with Matthew playing with cornstarch and water):I like it...it's pretty. (I don't mind the pink counter, actually...but I don't think I'm the best at color coordinating...)
My counter is the old kind with a metal rim...which makes it really hard to wipe off.

Check here? Hm...so it's not much worse than removing just paper, I guess...but I think it'll be a VERY messy job! I'll end up with paint chips and soggy paper and glue EVERYWHERE, I'm sure! Better wait until the rest of the house is completely straightened out before I start it.

That should do the trick...

Well, in our defense, when our family signed up with State Farm it was with an entirely different set of people.
After the retirement of our representative, the Orcs took over and have made what was once good into something sinister.
They were OK for us after Andrew. Not enough to fix everything the way we had it before, but good enough to get by. Now, they are just plain nasty.

Personally...and I'm a real frugal person and everything I can myself...but personally, I think I'd hire it done and sit around watching them drinking endless cups of Chamomile tea. I don't have the stamina to undertake something like that.
Steve and I redid our entire shop interior from the insulation and sheetrocking and painting and trim. We hung a suspended ceiling and everything. So I don't wimp out easily...but I think I would with painted on wallpaper!

And now... a bit of news from
TheOneRing.net
Lord Of The Rings actor 'had nightmares' about new character |
John Rhys-Davies says he's had nightmares about providing the voice of Treebeard in the new Lord Of The Rings film.
As well as voicing the new character, Rhys-Davies will again be seen playing the dwarf Gimli in The Two Towers.
He says when director Peter Jackson first asked him to provide the voice of the Ent he thought "Oh good, more money!"
"Then my nightmares began," Rhys-Davies tells www.scifi.com. "I've had more cold sweats, more waking up in the middle of the night thinking, 'God, how do I play this bloody thing?' than you can imagine.
"How the hell do you make a walking and talking tree work? What does a tree sound like? I asked this question to a talk-show host in New York City. He had three friends who were Tolkien experts and he faxed them the question, 'How does a tree talk?'" he says.
"They each sent back a letter. Every one of them disagreed with my own instinctive way of doing it. And one of them actually said the only person who really could do this was James Earl Jones. And with that I concur utterly. But you've got to try these things."

More About the Trailer Score
10/02/02, 4:42 pm EST - leo
Over the past few days I have been swamped with emails from people telling me that the second part of the score from the new TTT trailer is not really from the soundtrack for 'Requiem for a Dream' but it is a remix of the main theme of this soundtrack. So, it is not from the new soundtrack for TTT, it is not from the soundtrack of 'Requiem' but it is a remix of a theme from this soundtrack. Thanx to everyone who corrected me!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hair: I have listened to it again with this in mind, and I don't hear it as a remix of any of the FoTR score, do you?
I think that may be the best plan...it's something that would be relatively simple with the right equipment, but VERY messy and aggravating with what I would most likely have to work with. I'll have my car paid off by January or so (
), so I can start saving up for projects like that!
I agree, Hair...it sounds really odd.
"Doubtless it wil be made clear in time."
And the thing is, if you screw up your sheetrock, it's so hard to fix it and have it look nice. My mom pulled the paneling off her sheetrock and it really messed it up. She ended up hiring a pro to come in and hang a very thin layer of sheetrock over everything...sorta like a laminate of sheetrock, you know? Then textured it. It looks great, now.
To: 2Jedismom
Yeah.... you can't mess up the paper finish on the sheetrock... Paneling I don't think ever comes off without ruining it.
At the place where we grew up there was paneling, and we did a nice job of painting it (By hand with a brush rather than a roller for texture) With a good semi-gloss paint. It came out looking rather nice, after a couple coats of paint. Only one wall was paneled, in the living room, and we painted it several shades darker than the rest of the room, as an accent wall.
