"Real" scientists say that there is little immediate danger in a Hawaii Volcano landslide in the near future. The last one was over 100,000 years ago. Those who get $$ from doomsday scenarios should be hung by their toes for this alarmist information.

What I saw on the Discovery channel both agrees and disagrees with you. There is a widening crack on one of the islands, and part of that island will slide into the sea, creating a monstrous tsunami. However, they certainly didn't set a time line or indicated that it would happen soon.

I'm inclined to agree.

However, I want to support the provision of the special categories for those of us who see value in them. AND, this really does straddle a number of categories, from my perspective.

Perhaps it would be more acceptable to some if someone like you would put a link there after I get the rest of the info up on this thread.

It may be after I get back from classes this evening. I think I already put the main link on the scientific aspects. And I sent one link of a sort of scientific graphic of previous massive landslides into the ocean from on Hawaii volcano to someone privately. Perhaps they could put that link up as I'm fairly pressed getting ready to leave for classes.

I was just very struck by the "coincidental" occurence of the scientific findings about Hawaiian volcano landslides coupled with a diversity of quite above average intensity alerts from spiritually solid and sensitive ministries that just in the last few weeks there's been a very marked series of warnings about impending West Coast very heavy duty quakeS--more than one--some characterize it as very dramatic movements up and down the West Coast. And as I recall, one even feels a volcano erruption not expected by scientists may occur.

The Rhode Island sized volcano chunk has been moving slowly but clearly according to the GPS data. . . and there really does seem to be a "cocked" aspect to it just waiting for the right kind of quake jolt to send it rushing to the ocean floor.

The arms of The Father, The Blood of Jesus, The Cleft of The Rock . . . the ONLY viable hiding places.

Not sure your criteria about "Real" scientists except that they agree with you . . . but not all are singing your tune.

I'm not clear, Clara Lou--perhaps you could track it down??? Is that rift--I saw the Discovery program, too--is that rift, crack involving the same mass of land as the GPS data showing it sliding toward the sea?

In terms of the west coast, if my memory is accurate, some were shocked at the visions, dreams they were receiving in that amazingly large blocks of land were under water which moments before were dry land.

Count me in - I love this stuff.

Dear AP Family [Meri Burlingame--info at the end] Deb Spruill in the following post..wasn't the only one having similar experiences last week...many others were. Intercessors were having dreams and visions and many prophets were having experiences of being in what felt like a vise, of some of the greatest pressure as if being pulled from all sides against the middle.

I have been burdened to pray about this. Last Thursday, for about 3 hours, I was in fairly deep intercession. I saw visions of boiling, churning water in the ocean and rock banging against rock, pushing and shoving back and forth. I could sense something moving, coming towards the west coast of the US. On midnight, at the turn of 3/3/02, I was awakened in San Ramon, California, with a vision of seismic waves rippling across the globe, triggering a series of changes that would take place between 3/3/02 and 3/3/03.

I was so impacted by the vision that I picked up the phone and called my wife on her cell phone in the Philippines. When she answered the phone, my heart was lifted by the sound of laughter in the background from my 2 children. My son, 22-month old Joshua-Gabriel, and my daughter, 9-month old Esther-Grace, were joyously laughing at the top of their lungs – I had never heard them like this before, they sounded so happy! My wife and I could not help laughing with them, although we had no idea at what they were laughing at.

I shared with my wife the vision of the seismic waves rippling across he earth, then said my good-byes and went back to sleep. When I awoke in morning, I discovered that a 7.3 earthquake had just shaken Afghanistan. Two days later, my wife would be jolted out of bed by a 7.5 earthquake in the Philippines, centered in Mindanao, and felt as far away as Leyte. To understand the significance of these 2 earthquakes, you have to look closely at the timing and location.

Last month, we declared a prophetic fast from 2/28/02 - 4/21/02. Interestingly, on the first day of the fast, the journal Nature (2/28/02 Issue) documented that a 72 square-mile chunk of Hawaii’s Kilauea Volcano began slipping into the ocean. If a seismic event were to trigger the collapse of this chunk of mountain into the Pacific Ocean, tsunami could imperil coastlines as far away as California, Chile, or Australia, according to geophysicist Steven N. Ward, of the University of California at Santa Cruz.

[SOUNDS LIKE A REAL ENOUGH SCIENTIST TO ME.]

If you look at the timing of the release of this information (2/28/02), and then the details of the Afghan quake 3 days later (3/3/02), a clear pattern begins to merge. The Afghan quake triggered the collapse of a large chuck of mountain in Afghanistan, killing 100 people. Likewise, the Mindanao quake triggered the collapse of a large portion of Mount Parker. Can you see the prophetic warning entwined in these 2 quakes, confirming the call to prayer and fasting between 2/28/02 - 4/21/02?

Mt. Kilauea is only one of many mountains (or undersea rifts) that could fall into the sea during some of the upcoming great seismic events. The tsunami threat to coastlines along the Pacific Ring of Fire is being trumpeted by angels, and the seismic threat is not distant, but immediate. The purpose of our call to prayer and fasting between 2/28/02 - 4/21/02, is to offset or displace the epicenter of some of these coming seismic and volcanic events.

[Folk who might scoff at the idea of prayer altering plate tectonic forces are simply inexperienced, ignorant of God's choice to allow His children to influence even galactic events via the simple matter of prayer; intercessory prayer and fasting. The Bible has ample examples. But usually such people have little to no experience of The Bible being so literally proven true in their lives either. Thankfully, others of us have had different experiences. We can't manipulate God. But HE IS THE ONE who instructed us to Pray, to seek His face, to humble ourselves before Him and ask for His mercy as a way of averting or moderating disasters and other events which would otherwise occur unmoderated. HE'S THE BOSS. I figure He can set it all up however He pleases. . . . Q]

Although this specific threat will not end on 4/21/02, the Holy Spirit has given us this specific time frame to stand in gap to diffuse some of these events. Intercession can change the epicenter of many of these earthquakes. For example, the 7.5 quake in Mindanao which occurred on 3/5/02 was centered underneath the ocean, 65 miles west of General Santos City, Mindanao. Had the epicenter been slightly north, the tsunami would have been cataclysmic.

Fortunately, the tsunami on 3/5/02 were relatively small (3.5 to 9.7 feet), and no lives were lost directly from tidal waves. A total of fifteen people died in the quake, 100 injured, twenty-nine buildings destroyed, one school demolished, two churches destroyed, one police station collapsed, two police cars crushed, and electricity and water supplies disrupted.

Residents near the epicenter expressed fears that Mount Parker Volcano might erupt, after a portion of the crater wall collapsed, sending tons of water (from the lake inside the crater) upon an unsuspecting village below, destroying many homes and buildings. But the quake could have potentially been much worse.

If the magnitude was in the 8- to 9-point range, Mt. Parker would have almost certainly erupted. In other words, those intercessors who have heeded the call to prayer and fasting between 2/28/02 and 4/21/02 may have already saved thousands of lives in these 2 quakes alone. Continue pressing in, continue interceding for grace and revival, continue bombarding the heavens with prayer for lost souls!

On 3/3/02, in Northern California we literally saw the heavens opened. While myself and a team of other revivalists ministered in a church in Galt, California (by Sacramento, the state capital), it felt as if angels suddenly stepped into the building. The anointing was so powerful in the building that people could barely stand.

[If you have not experienced such a phenomenon, then you have truly missed an awesome experience. You have to be there. Words cannot adequately describe such an event.]

As the Body of Christ comes together and begins to pray, fast, and intercede for their cities, revival is going to break out in many regions during the next 12 months (through 3/3/03). Some cities will be visited by revival, and others by judgment.

The line is being drawn, and the Sword of the Lord has been lifted up high over the earth, and will soon fall like lightning in judgment against the principalities and powers of darkness. It is no accident that these two quakes were centered in Afghanistan and Mindanao, the two centers where US troops are now fighting against Islamic Fundamentalism. Babylon is about to fall. And it will fall violently.

Earthquakes will continue to increase in magnitude, volcanos will erupt, and there will be signs and wonders in the heavens. But fear not, for the kingdoms of this world will soon become the kingdoms of our Lord and King! ____________________________________________________________

(3/6) CNN - STANFORD, California - In an event known as a "silent earthquake," a 72-square-mile chunk of the south slope of Hawaii's Kilauea Volcano slipped 3.5 inches toward the sea several months ago, leading one [very real] scientist to warn of a possible disaster for Pacific Rim nations. The slide, documented in the February 28 issue of the journal Nature, was measured by Global Positioning System satellites in November 2000.

A 12- by 6-mile area moved

3.5 inches over a 36-hour period

in the first "silent earthquake" ever recorded at an active volcano.

Such earthquakes are virtually undetectable on the surface, but can be measured by GPS recordings. Since the GPS system is relatively new, there is very little data on the phenomenon according to Peter Cervelli of the U.S. Geological Survey. Researchers with the USGS and Stanford University tracked the movement.

The 12- by 6-mile chunk that moved extends five miles into the earth's crust, making its mass roughly equal to that of a quarter-mile thick, Rhode Island-sized object, the researchers said. An accompanying article in Nature by geophysicist Steven N. Ward, of the University of California at Santa Cruz, speculates that a land mass that size -- if it slid into the ocean in one cataclysmic event -- could trigger an enormous tsunami that could imperil coastlines as far away as California, Chile, or Australia.

A tsunami is a strong, fast-moving wave that can build to 100 feet high or taller as it speeds into shallow water near the shore. Ward said his computer models suggest that a massive slide at Kilauea could touch off an arc of destructive waves in nearly all directions, with the greatest force probably focusing toward the southeast, in the direction of Ecuador. But Ward, and other scientists, caution that the tsunami risk is minuscule: No such tsunamis of this type have taken place in recorded history.

[PERSONALLY, I believe their comment about miniscule risk is arrogance and bias coloring their perceptions big time. There will be MANY dramatic geological and other events in our time which have very rarely happened or have never happened before.]

The last such wave of which there is evidence occurred in Hawaii an estimated 200,000 years ago, he said.

I believe it was the CNN blurb below which sounded more POTENTIALLY sooner than later--than some would alledge. . . . at least in noting that it might merely take a good strategic jolt to send the mass of earth to the ocean floor.

The posted above is just an example of the better crossing my screen. I don't really recall how many have had similar visions, dreams but it strikes me as upwards of a dozen. I don't think I have the time to go back and glean the rest out of the mass of stuff on my HD.
