Why not assembly language? PURGE: MOV X42,0

Dunno. I hope you get style sheets working again; I've got this killer sheet that I only get when I try to reply and on older threads.

I like to read silly stuff and news/activist stuff, and it's a royal pain in the butt to have to watch two forums to keep up on all the latests posts.
This cure is worse than the disease the whiners complain about: "Having to see posts that are dumb." They don't have to click on them and read them, it just cheeses them off to see that they exist in the first place. And now, to placate the whiners, I'm going to have to have open and refreshed umpteen windows if I like to observe more than one forum.

Damn straight. It appears that it's the only way to REALLY screw things up around here. All this "change" is a direct result of certain somebodies' bitching and complaining.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! This PROVES even TECHIES CAN SCREW UP!!!!! ROFLMAO:-))))
To: SCalGal
THATS ONE way of looking at IT!!!! ROFL EVEN THE MIGHTY GETS HUMBLED NOW AND THEN IT APPEARS!!! :-))))

"WHAT WAS I THINKING????" "NOT TONIGHT DEAR..... I have a HEADACHE?????" ROFLMAO
To: Cyber Liberty
I still hate it....
To: Cyber Liberty
That may not be necessary. It wouldn't be that difficult to code so that you can include both areas in your Latest Posts load.
To: AppyPappy
You're probably right, but if being able to exclude areas through setting preferences couldn't silence the whiners, I don't see how old-timers like me will make any difference in the shiney new format.
Personally, I can see why these changes were held until AFTER the fundraiser. I bet more than a few of us already have "buyer's remorse."

Give it time, CL. They are still working things out. You've been through lots of changes here and you're still around - cause you LOVE this place!!
At first I "hated" the 50 replies per screen change. Seemed too convulted when you wanted to see what people were replying to. But I have come to see it as a good way to manage long threads.
I avoid alot of the "dumb" threads but some of them are pretty darn funny - still love "How many FReepers does it take to change a lightbulb! But when you want to find the "real" news, I think this is gonna help. They're also working on topic management which I think will be great.

For now I'm gonna keep the News and General forums open on separate windows on the toolbar. For the sake of cheezing the whiners in the News forums I'm keeping that window on the left.
To: dittomom
I see an unhealthy trend where whiners will be appeased, and those who quietly ejoy the forum get the shaft. I already saw someone fuming that their "regular" thread is going to be "relegated" to the "inferior" General News forum.
