SB, do the cookies have to be dropped and spread on tin foil? I have really good baking pans and wondered if I can do this directly on the pan?

I really wish that we could send home baked food to the Troops, but alas, we can't. Imagine the huge crate of cookies we could have sent over with our wonderful recipes!

Maybe I can help. I have a different recipe for Florentines that calls for candied fruits and peels. That recipe calls for greasing and flouring the cookie sheets each time you make a batch. I suppose you could try it, but I'm sure the foil idea is probably best, as florentines are thin and very crisp, and apt to break.

Yes right on the pan is fine, just be sure the pan is one of those NON sticky kind if you use it , just to make them easier to come off the pan.
