My High School JROTC class used FM 22-5 as a text book. There may have been a time or two when my Drill Sergeant felt the need to remind me that HE was the textbook. Absolutely no more than twice.
Grok is aware of these archives. I’ve specifically asked it to search field manuals for assistance and reality checks in building my own antennas, specifically shortwave for amateur operations. Saves a lot of money. ARRL has the most detail and theory but some of the best, simple setups I’ve run across are in Marine radio operator’s manuals. And it’s all free!
I joined USAF in ‘56. If possible, I’d like a reprint of that year Airman’s Guide. What is an address where I might find that?
The Airman’s Guide appears to be a commercial publication, not a government manual I guess. I did find 4 editions of it on archive.org. Go there and search for “airman’s guide”. I’m not sure what came up is from 1956 though. I was in from 85 to 88 but have never heard of this guide until now. Interesting. Good luck!

Well, we had two right years. Brace for impact.
I've often been a "blind clairvoyant." I sense huge events coming but can't articulate it. I became badly depressed for the past month. When the election happened, I suddenly had energy again and could clean the clutter and stock the fridge. It was like a giant pimple had popped; and then I knew what had been making me sorrowful. I had the same thing happen in the week before 9/11 and landed in the hospital that time; so at least this is not so bad, thus far. God help us in days ahead.

They're here, all right. I let my Dark Snark flag fly last evening. Democrats are mentally ill and spiritually AWOL; but there is no excuse for the idiocy on our side. Except, as you mentioned, the deliberate trolls.
