President Donald Trump is expected to devote more attention to his presidential library during his final two years in office.
With Democrats preparing to take control of Congress in January after their sweeping midterm victories, Trump is expected to focus increasingly on projects he can pursue without congressional approval, CBS News reported Thursday, citing current and former administration advisers.
"He undoubtedly recognizes that the library development season opens now, and he will go for it," a senior administration official told CBS News.
Another official said Trump will focus on "all things he can control, which means: Building."
The president has proposed a 47-story tower in downtown Miami that could feature golden escalators, a full-size Air Force One, and a towering statue commemorating his survival of the July 2024 assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Trump also has suggested the project could include a luxury hotel instead of a traditional presidential library.
The Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation, overseen by Trump's son Eric Trump and son-in-law Michael Boulos, expects to raise $950 million by the end of 2027, according to an IRS application obtained by CBS News.
The projection includes $600 million in fundraising in 2027 alone.
The foundation already has attracted tens of millions of dollars from major corporations, including payments from legal settlements with media and technology companies.

I think he should pile on and say it’ll be partly funded through selling Iranian oil or, better yet, money gleaned from the civil suits he’ll be filing when he leaves office against the law fare crowd and fake news slanderers.

I’m fairly certain some activist judge will stop any construction on Donald Trump’s Presidential Library the instant it begins.
I would not be surprised if soon we’ll see 15 Republican Senators walk into the Oval Office and tell Trump if he’s impeached, he won’t have the votes. They put their political careers on the line to have his back.
