Pre-election polls were close, within the margin of error.....

Posted on 11/05/2026 6:19:21 AM PST by volare737

It is amazing how accurate the pre-election national polling proved to be.

From ChatGPT, although not completely final yet, it showed nationally, the democrats got 55% of the vote compared to 43.6% for Republicans. That is a real landslide using the rule of thumb saying 10% margin is a landslide.

Pre-election polling the day prior showed a projection of democratic lead of 8-9%. That is within the usual 3% margin of error, so the national polling was pretty darn accurate--the only error was that they UNDERESTIMATED the democrat vote, not the Republican!

So remember that the next time everyone, and I mean almost everyone--says to completely ignore the polls.

Granted every election is local, and there alway are a few outliers, for the most part the polls really nailed it. Final RCP aggregation of all their polls for RCP showed an 8.8% democrat advantage.

Here are a few others...

Reuters/IPSOS....52-44,
NBC....52-45,
YouGov...53-44.

Overall, of course, there is always some bias and error, but it shows that polling has become much more accurate than it used to be--and it certainly should not be blown off or ignored.

You don’t believe that this could have been pre-determined? Do you honestly think the votes are what is reported? with any computerized tabulating machine their is a back door in everyone of these corrupt machines....illegals/mail ballots / hackable voter machines is how this bull—it was done.

Sorry to report, but those are the numbers we have to live by--an 11.4% margin for democrats--with 12.4 million more democrat votes.

The latest projection this morning shows that democrats probably having an 83 seat margin in the House.

Considering we know that there were fake polls and polls that deliberately undersampled Republicans, I’d say it’s suspicious. There were millions of people voting who shouldn’t be able to vote.

That’s weird. I didn’t know polls could predict the rate of election fraud.

You couldn't be MORE right than you are. I agree 100%. This election was FABRICATED just as the Wedgewood Polls were FABRICATED !!!!

12.4 MILLION MORE DEMOCRAT VOTES, EH? Is that about how many BIDEN BORDER INVADERS were GIVEN DRIVER LICENSES THEN REGISTERED TO VOTE?

Make the votes total the polls through multiple avenues. This way they give legitimacy to the election results and polls hoping people just shrug it off and believe their scam.

This was an elaborate scheme ACCOMPLISHED PRIMARILY VIA REMOTE MACHINE TAMPERING with THE MEDIA an active player for the left, pushing the BULLSH*T polls to EXPLAIN AWAY the FRAUD AND MAKE THE RESULTS MORE BELIEVEABLE..

I suppose you REALLY believe Biden BEAT Trump by 8 MILLION votes in 2020?

They set up the ‘polls’ to coincide with their cheat.

It’s obvious to anyone paying attention.

Exactly!

Amazing that anyone would NOT see this and/or think differently.

No.

Sadly those low propensity Trump voters who show up when Trump is on the ballot didn’t show up for the mid terms, which is pretty much par for the course.

The Democrats got their turnout way up, and GOP had a typical midterm turnout.

Its really no more complicated than that.

Unlike 2020, where the fraud was clear, as the low prop MAGA voters did show up but the dems stuffed the ballot boxes.. this time its clear, MAGA low prop voters didn’t show, or didn’t show up in any decent numbers.

We’ll see what the Election Autopsy says, but just looking at the numbers, its pretty clear GOP had at or below typical mid term turnout in most states, and Dems crushed it.

I sure hope something is done to STOP “Omar”, El-Sayed and Hamawy from being sworn in. 3 MUZZIE TERRORIST SYMPATHIZERS AND A THREAT TO OUR NATION, TO TRUMP AND/OR OUR CAPITOL.

The polls erred to the Republican side this go-round.

As an example. the Real Clear Politics poll average for Texas was a 2.6% lead for Talerico. He actually won by 12.1%.

I disagree. Polls undersample Republicans because Republicans have better things to do than respond to pollsters.

The results just happened to coincide with the polls this time because of relative turnout, and not because the polls were “accurate”.

The Republican base was not energized largely because Trump didn’t finish the job in Iran, so energy prices stayed high, so inflation stayed high, and the economy suffered. Trump disappointed his base at the wrong time.

And Trump was unable to articulate to the middle the benefits of how he was handling the immigration crisis. He lost a lot of the legal immigrant vote because of this.

It was a perfect storm, and the Republicans got shipwrecked.

Go to the Real Clear Politics website. Click on polls and you will find the final polling averages compared to the actual election tallies. Every single poll average that I saw understated Dems.

Irrelevant. Polls aren’t actual voting.

So many continued to post that idiotic New York Times "Hillary has a 98% chance of winning" headline as if it mattered one whit in this election.

"Election fraud"

No. Trump told his base of young white male voters to go pound sand.

Surprising to no one, they don't turn out for the midterms.
