In the late spring I had bulbs of garlic about to be harvested but was away for 3 weeks. I harvested 40 before going and they were a little premature. I harvested 40 after returning and some had gone past prime. i put the past prime ones in the fridge but they started to mold so I pulled them out and left them in the garage. The good ones, the majority, I kept in a cool dry place.

I planted the sub prime ones in mid October. All but 1 or 2 came up (or perhaps I missed a hole for planting). I now have 107 plants growing.

I’m impressed with how resilient garlic is.

If mulched heavily (it does not like to compete with weeds) and gets enough water, Garlic is one of the easiest things to grow. Glad you had so much success!
