👋 Hello,

Ready for a mental workout? 🧠 A Cryptogram is a classic quotation puzzle frequently featured in daily publications. I source the best and most challenging ones to help keep our minds sharp and boost cognitive health!

🧩 How the Cryptogram Works

In a Cryptogram, a single letter always stands for another letter.

(Example: AXYDLBAAXR might translate to LONGFELLOW. This is just an example and does not apply to today’s puzzle.)

If this is your first time, don’t be intimidated—the game is very addictive, and you will quickly master the technique! If you find yourself stumped, simply take a break and return to it later. ☕

💡 Post a Clever Clue

Feel free to post a fun or clever clue—the more tangential to the quotation the better! Just remember that your clue must not contain the actual words of the solved quote.

Good luck, and enjoy the challenge! 🍀

Let’s all pray that we can pull this election out on Tuesday. It’s clear that we have members of House and Senate in our party who are either too stupid or hold too much hate for Trump to be loyal to him or even to do what’s best for our country.

Virtually every poll in the country have the democrats winning big, and retaking both houses of Congress and the governors. At best we will be 50/50 Senate. That looks like the best outcome at this point. Although there are 41 House seats up for grabs and too close to call.

I think we all know what is going to happen if that occurs. Trump will veto everything, and will scorch the earth of Iran and the rest of them. There will be nothing holding him back.

4 minutes good
3 minutes excellent
2 minutes exceptional
90 seconds superior

What with the news and all, I took a wild guess at the author. Amazingly, I was right.

Amen, brother. Amen. The future of our Republic is very much at stake. Be prepared, or best get prepared quickly. It’s going to be a bumpy ride. May God bless America.

Even if we lose both houses of Congress, Trump will prevail, and may end up being an even better president. I looked up where presidents lost both houses and did well, only thing is, that they went after Trump before and he was stymied. He won't be able to make federal judgeships. Still he would be in good company:

Trump is a lot like Truman

1. Harry S. Truman (1947–1949: The 80th Congress) Truman is the most direct historical parallel to an aggressive, embattled executive taking on a hostile legislative branch. The Situation: In the 1946 midterms, Republicans swept both chambers of Congress for the first time in nearly two decades. Truman was dismissed by Washington insiders as an accidental, weak caretaker president. The Opposition: Truman famously dubbed them the “Do-Nothing, Good-for-Nothing 80th Congress” and used them as an adversarial foil. The Achievement: Despite brutal partisan warfare, Truman’s executive tenacity—backed by foreign policy figures like George Marshall—pushed through the Marshall Plan to rebuild Europe, created the Department of Defense and the National Security Council (National Security Act of 1947), launched the Truman Doctrine, and integrated the U.S. Armed Forces via Executive Order 9981. He then went on his legendary 1948 "Whistle-Stop" tour and defeated Thomas Dewey in one of the greatest upsets in presidential history. Today, Truman is consistently ranked among the top ten American presidents.

2. Dwight D. Eisenhower (1955–1961: The 84th, 85th, and 86th Congresses) Eisenhower was a literal "Savior General" who spent six of his eight years in the White House with Democrats controlling both the House and the Senate. The Situation: After losing the Republican majorities in 1954, Ike governed from the center-right while facing Democratic leaders like House Speaker Sam Rayburn and Senate Majority Leader Lyndon B. Johnson. The Achievement: Instead of grinding the country to a halt, Eisenhower leaned on his immense personal stature and executive discipline. Facing a Democratic Congress, he enacted the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956 (building the Interstate Highway System—the largest public infrastructure project in world history), created NASA, admitted Alaska and Hawaii to the Union, and signed the first civil rights legislation since Reconstruction (the Civil Rights Act of 1957). He ended the Korean War and maintained peace and fiscal solvency throughout the Cold War.

3. Bill Clinton (1995–2001: The 104th, 105th, and 106th Congresses) For a modern example of an executive boxed in by an opposition majority, Clinton's post-1994 term is the playbook for "triangulation." The Situation: The 1994 "Republican Revolution" handed both the House and Senate to Newt Gingrich and Bob Dole. The Achievement: After a government shutdown in 1995, Clinton declared "the era of big government is over." He used veto leverage to force concessions, signing major bipartisan achievements: the 1996 Welfare Reform Act, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and deregulation packages that led to four consecutive federal budget surpluses—the only balanced budgets in modern memory. He left office with approval ratings above 65%.

(Honorable Mention) Ronald Reagan (1987–1989: The 100th Congress) While Reagan had a Republican Senate from 1981 to 1986, the Democrats took back the Senate in 1986, giving them full control of Congress for Reagan’s final two years. The Achievement: Despite Democrats controlling both chambers during the height of the Iran-Contra hearings, Reagan operated from executive momentum on the global stage. He bypassed congressional skepticism to sign the INF Treaty (Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces) with Mikhail Gorbachev, eliminating an entire category of nuclear weapons and laying the groundwork for the fall of the Soviet empire.

The ultimate irony...the dems vote to stack the courts and then puts the bill in with say some stuff Trump wants to not veto. He signs the bill but there will be no power on earth that can make Trump nominate anymore court justices during his term...then in 28 another Republican becomes president...maybe. If not, at least the Supreme court remains un packed thru January 2029.

The nominations come from the president.

Our side is so stupid. When the Democrats controlled the Senate and tried to lift the filibuster, we should have let them. Not having that, and with no agenda passed, people looked upon the GOP as another do nothing congress.

We keep the Senate and the Dems win the congress maybe by 10 or 15...The Pubs keep the majority of governorships and statehouses...
There will be a lot more noise but the congress won’t do much without the senate. The usual Rhinos in the Senate will be more conciliatory to the Dems but not enough Pubs will be persuaded to throw Trump out if impeached.Still stalemate!
Gas and diesel will fall in price and the fight diminishes in the Straights of Hormuz...most of the pissed off Republicans who sat out the election will realize that they have been hoodwinked by the left and business interests arrayed against Trump. The Mullahs of Iran would use Nuke threats to bully the weak minded...that is why Trump had to act to keep a nuke out of their hands. They are crazy people!

Trump can veto and most likely the Dems won’t always get the numbers for overide. They might try to place a Supreme Court packing bill into a needed budget bill which Trump might have to sign but he doesn’t have to nominate any additional court nominees if he doesn’t want to, or he can nominate who he wants even if the Senate doesn’t act on the nominees. The Democrats still get no expanded court judges till at least after january 2029.

I agree with you...you pass by majority vote and let the chips fall where they will...a mistake can be changed just as quickly should the results of legislation appear to send the nation sideways. The debate filibuster process allows for much corruption to flourish in the name of “thoughtful discourse”. Screw the cloture votes. And repeal the amendment for popular vote for the senate seats and let the state legislatures select their senators again...or at least make it three senators per state with one coming from the legislature.
