King Tides are a seasonal recurrence. Also seasonal in recent years are the attempts to explain the flooding caused by those tides as being due to rising sea levels. Among the media outlets at the forefront this year with the rising sea levels shtick is USA Today as you can see in this Monday story by their Climate & Environment correspondent Dinah Voyles Pulver, "Record high tides slam US coasts. Here’s what’s driving them."
Most of what Pulver says is "driving" the high tides makes sense:

Just more horseshitte from the treehuggers. Just take a look at historical sites along coasts — like Roman baths or piers/litehouses. Same level. No increase.
The best weather scare stories have the artists renditions of 90% of Florida being below sea level within 50 years or 100 years because of Global Warming.
When I lived in South Florida 40 years ago we had them all the time.
I watched a man on a Fox Weather interview (Florida) state, “this is the worst I’ve ever seen it - it’s unprecedented!” Then a couple of seconds later in the interview, stated, “I’ve lived here just 2 years.”
Further up the east coast they hype the houses being destroyed by the ocean on the Outer Banks of NC.
Over 35 years ago I read a book that detailed how, historically, the islands have been washing away by the ocean while being built up by sediment brought down by the rivers emptying into the sounds.
Actually, the islands are SLOWLY moving towards the mainland.
PRETTY SURE WE LEARNED ABOUT TIDES & THE FULL MOON IN ABOUT 5TH GRADE=====
IN THE ONE ROOM SCHOOL WITH 8 GRADES & 14 KIDS & 1 TEACHER
People are outraged at the high price of gas and diesel because of the war in Iran. I wonder how much more outraged they would they be if someone calculated how much the war on climate change has cost them? With all the costly environmental requirements put in place for appliances, refrigerants, on burning fossil fuels, automobiles, and all other aspects of modern life, it must be far greater than what this war has cost each of us .
Their new weather boogieman on the left coast is now the Kelvin wave. It is being used to explain unprecedented (eons of) cliff erosion and has taken it’s weather porn place along side of bomb cyclones and atmospheric rivers.
Typical journalistic malpractice.
There should be legal consequences for deliberate deception and deliberate misinformation from licensed news sources.
The full moon on Oct. 26 is converging with warmer than normal waters, El Niño, offshore storms and other patterns to ramp up seasonal high tides.
Well dang that put a kink in the sales pitch.

Thanks
