The U.S. Consumer Confidence Index rose to 91.7 in October 2026, up from a revised 84.2 in September 2026, according to The Conference Board.

October 2026 Index Breakdown Headline Index: 91.7 (an increase of 7.5 points from September).

Present Situation Index: Increased to 120.4, reflecting stronger consumer assessments of current business and labor-market conditions.

Expectations Index: Increased by 6.9 points to 72.6, driven by reduced pessimism regarding short-term business, income, and job outlooks.

Key Drivers: Easing retail gasoline prices helped lift consumer sentiment after three consecutive monthly declines.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

These numbers make it very clear that the country is ready to fight for what we have and not ready to roll over for Socialism.

The "experts" were rooting for 80 and got 91.7! Surrender Monkeys and Democrats hardest hit.

Also forgot to mention, all of this talk about affordability, last Friday the iphone duo came out, starting price is 2 grand..the apple store near my house they had people waiting in line from 3AM waiting to get their hands on one and the local media here interviewed some of the people, one guy wearing a backpack he looked like a day laborer, most of them Id say about 70 percent waiting in line were Mexican and young..so I ask, how are they able to afford a 2,000 PLUS phone, they are the same ones crying about gas prices

They could be people that plan to flip the phone or are buying the phone for someone else.

Think we’ll see any of the usual Free Republic TDS dummies on this thread to say it doesn’t make any difference?

All of them? Yeah I doubt it..they are buying it for themselves, but how do they have the money..unless they are getting govt money and using that money to buy the phone they were majority young people, I saw many of them passing by on Saturday they were in line then too, young, didnt look like they have much money yet they have 2 grand to spare

I standby my assertion that people standing in line at 3 AM are mules. They are paid to stand in line. Sure there are legitimate buyers standing in line. Why stand in line when the product will be fully available a few months down the road?
