An unidentified man told investigators he repeatedly received EBT cards and their PINs from McDonald as payment for crack cocaine, authorities said.
He suspected McDonald had gotten the cards through her work at the welfare office, authorities said.
In two years, McDonald allegedly used her job as supervisor to steal $20k by posing as food stamp recipients and using their cards, and she's even accused of swapping food stamps for crack.
Four unauthorized transactions on an EBT card that never reached its intended recipient triggered an investigation in November of last year, according to Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan and Pennsylvania State Inspector General Michelle Henry ...
Along with access to the benefit cards, McDonald could view recipients' birth dates and Social Security numbers, prosecutors said.
On Nov. 7, 2025, McDonald allegedly activated one of the missing cards by phone, providing the intended recipient's birth date and the final four digits of their Social Security number, investigators said.
McDonald was arrested on Monday for the scheme and is awaiting arraignment in Lehigh County, where she faces six felony charges relating to the fraud scheme.
If you ask me, it sounds like the crack dealer who told cops about McDonald's illicit trade has earned himself a 1% bounty, or at least a little bit of his crack back.

If you offer it up, they will come. Back when this all started I worked with a guy who “didn’t live there” so his wife could draw all kinds of benefits due to the chirrin in the house. This guy always had several hundred bucks on him and we were working a $3.50 an hour job............ 🤔 Just sayin’.
There is all this talk about what a problem it is that people on EBT are obese. So, this enterprising young government worker trades the EBT cards for crack cocaine knowing that crack addicts usually are thin. And she gets damned for it. You just can’t win.
Didn’t obamas IRS change the tax code to make it more advantageous for couples to NOT be married?
