House Speaker Mike Johnson on Sunday dismissed polling and election forecasts favoring Democrats in the battle for the House, saying Republican enthusiasm on the campaign trail points to a stronger showing in the midterm elections.
Johnson, in a televised interview, said polls were undercounting Republican voters and relying on flawed analysis, challenging the network's forecast showing Democrats favored to win a majority.
"I'm telling you, these polls are off — all of them. They use faulty analysis," Johnson said.

I hope he’s right. In this corner of Ohio, he is not right.
It’s about WHO they poll...Dems or Republicans. Frankly, I’m a Republican...and I would lie to a pollster.
Same here, deep in the heart of bible belt Texas and I personally know several very conservative people who are grumbling about the cost of Diesel in particular or who refuse to vote for certain candidates that were nominated this year that are Republican (they wont be voting for the Democrat, but they might not vote, skip some races, or vote for an independent)
I have tried every argument to try to talk them down, but they wont be budged. It is probably only 3-5% of Republicans that feel this way, but that is enough to swing a close race.
Polls are cover for the steal. Democommies might not steal every race, but they’ll definitely steal a significant number.
I just checked RCP and in Maine, Trafalgar has Collins and Jackson tied at 47 as does Fox News at 49. That does not seem to look good for the Democrat. Also, CBS has the generic Dem lead at 8 percent, and I wonder if that is also not immediately indictive of a blue wave, so to speak.
I hope the same. We can all hope. We can also think. I think we’re cooked.

The ONLY polls you should believe are the betting sites. Where people wager their own money on who will win a race.
They have been far more accurate(in general) than any poll that the public gets to see.
RCP also has Talarico and Paxton tied as per Rasmussen and El-Sayed up by only one point as per Insider Advantage. FWIW, you wonder if these numbers are also not the best for the Dems.
Agreed.
“I have tried every argument to try to talk them down, but they wont be budged.”
It’s discouraging. I get that they are upset, they should be upset. Rather than try to understand, they want to punish. They will be punishing themselves. They are opening the door to the DSA. There can be no question that when the DSA gets the power to do so, they will open the borders in a way to make Biden’s open borders look controlled.
Yet, those reluctant Republicans won’t consider this.
Every single time in my life where the two parties were tied, it meant a loss for the Democrat. I have never seen a real tie go for them. I have seen some fake ties where a midnight judge came in and ruled the Republican ballots were not legal and GAVE the tie to the Democrat.
I definitely think people are pissed and rightfully so. Our Water Bill just went up again why? Oh, they want to add sewer costs again. Our HOA is going up $15 a month in January. I know that’s not a lot for anybody here but for somebody on Social Security only that’s a lot especially since they use the same water I do and I know they got raised as well. Don’t even get me started on grocery shopping. Gas is expensive but it’s truly expensive for the working class who have to commute so add it all up and it’s a complete utter mess. I am so hoping Tuesday goes our way, but if it doesn’t, it’s very obvious as to why.
It’s early voting. I’ve been canvassing for a congressman in a safe republican district with some a lot of blue. If the election were today he’d lose. The D’s are showing up
These pollsters as well as the MSM thrive most on the drama. More profitable I guess.
I’ll expect the worst and hope for the best. I’d cream my pants if we flip senate seats in Michigan and Minnesota. The house I don’t get. We all follow history so it doesn’t look good-still I don’t get it. How can the party out of power ‘be more motivated’ when fewer voters show up and we have every reason to be our most motivated EVER? It’s our one opportunity to bitch-slap the opposition without going down to their level of tactics. They’ll still threaten and intimidate us 24/7 for the next 2 years.
If we’re good enough to keep both houses that will be the time for us all to come out of our closets and give our online social media ‘friends’ their own bitch-slapping. Go ahead and lose a few of them but they gotta come out of their kool-aid drinking stupor.
” The D’s are showing up”
The D’s are lemmings. They will do as told on the TV. This is their chance to get back at the bad orange man.
Republicans are like herding cats. There is some good that comes from that, but some really bad things too.
The Cleveland corner?
