Romney invokes Churchill and George Washington in rare second rebuke of Trump’s Russia deal

Former Utah Sen. Mitt Romney pushed back against a deal brokered by President Donald Trump freeing a U.S. hostage from Russian custody, warning of the long-term implications.

In a statement posted to social media, Romney invoked former Prime Minister Winston Churchill and George Washington to criticize Trump's decision to waive Russian sanctions as part of the agreement to release a hostage who has been held by Russia for four years. The agreement, Romney suggested, risks compromising more imperatives when it benefits an aggressor such as Russia.

"Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just 'done a deal' with (Adolf) Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution," Romney wrote. "(Ukrainian President Volodymyr) Zelenskyy is in good company."

What is Romney's Zeeper handle?

What a scumbag.

Europe has a set of primary interests which to us have none; or a very remote relation. Hence she must be engaged in frequent controversies, the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concerns. Hence, therefore, it must be unwise in us to implicate ourselves by artificial ties in the ordinary vicissitudes of her politics, or the ordinary combinations and collisions of her friendships or enmities.--Excerpt from George Washington's Farewell Address

If I were Zelensky (thank God I’m not) I would be like: “shut up, Mitt. You’re not doing me any favors.”

Trump wanted Romney to win. Trump used to talk to hannity and Michael savage.

Then we all watched Romney give Obama the pass on the BenGhazi screw up. And with it the election

It was a turning point. Actually. And maybe so for Trump, I don’t know.

It was really bad. So done with losing and losing our best and brightest with major screw ups. That was Obama and Hillary.

A few weeks prior. Anniversary of 9/11

“What is Romney’s Zeeper handle?”

Give Romney a break, he’s not nearly as bad as the Zeepers.

On the debate over foreign policy, I was dismayed that Romney never brought up Benghazi, his ace of spades. As the debate drew toward its conclusion, I was yelling into the TV screen, "Benghazi! Benghazi! Benghazi!" But he never brought it up. I later understood why when Romney's son admitted that he wanted to lose.

Oddly in DC are three political or perhaps 4.
1. Republican
2. Democrat
3. But most importantly the uniparty of the Old Boy Network. of both the left and the right.
4. That “Old Boy” party of influence is the real power.
5. The fourth is Free Republic and like minded internet sites.
