In an election that will decide control of both houses of Congress, every seat, every race matters. While the vast majority of seats for both parties have been carefully gerrymandered, there are 46 seats that are technically up for grabs.
Democrats hold 25 of those districts, and Republicans hold 21, according to Ballotpedia. There are 21 districts currently held by a Democrat that Donald Trump won in 2024. The 21 Republican seats at risk are largely historic swing districts that are competitive every two years.
There was a time early in the fall when Democrats believed they could make big gains in deep red states like Florida and Texas. They may yet win the Texas Senate race, but the districts they were targeting earlier in many cases have proved to be a will-o'-the-wisp.
In two of those districts, Democrats are pulling out and giving up. "The main Democratic super PAC charged with electing House Democrats, House Majority PAC, is cutting its ad spend in two districts — Colorado’s Third and Florida’s 7th, according to the ad tracking firm Adpact," reports The New York Sun. Trump carried the district by 10 and 12 points, respectively.
In general elections, a 10-point win by the party in power typically marks the limit of competitiveness. Democrats have invested in several races in districts Trump won by more than 10 points, and we can expect them to begin pulling back resources from most of those districts.

Just couldn’t lie hard enough this time (looking at you fake polls) to keep the narrative afloat.
That is great news, but for the love of God, can we get Republicans not to stop the day after election day and let the Democrats steal their usual nine or ten house seats and three or four Senate seats by finding and finding more votes? Can we do that this time, please?
“..Reality is starting to set in for the Democrats. Their dream of a Blue Wave is fading....”
Communism is one helluva drug...
They don’t know how to do it without USAID money.
When the commies borrow huge sums of cash, do they get repayment coupons like the rest of us?
They don’t know how to do it without USAID money.
Look at the whole man for full flavor.
They are worried about keeping the districts they’ve got now.
Donald Dems are a thing.
And we’re why Deep State has to steal elections.
Democrats know they will be swept away by the 2026 Red Wave and are pulling their cash!
Democrats always pull money just before the election so that money can go to buying votes and paying precinct captains in urban neighborhoods.
Democrats don’t know how to win without USAID money.
LOL
Most election years, the Democrats don't have to pull money from anywhere to finance election fraud because they always have more money than they can spend.
This year is different. Trump shut down the USAID money laundering program in early 2025 and now that cash is no longer flowing into Democrat coffers.
It’s dawning on them that they have no chance of winning the senate, and the house is slipping away from them.
They were hoping to pickup AZ district 1.
Probably NOT going to happen.
They bought their own hype and threw money into un-winnable races. Hope that hurts em in the close ones.
On a related note, the 100 million spent on Paxton could have been much less if the NRSC had not spent 100 million trashing him in the primary.
from your lips to God’s ears
Talafreako is running constant ads in West Texas claiming he is pro-oil and gas and ranching.
It’s almost funny, it’s such an obvious lie.
I suppose some believe it, though.
Paxton should run some binary, trans ads. Throw in some for being against data centers.
We’re flooded with ads about Talafreako being a heretic.
There’s a lot of voters in WT who are pretty libertarian and don’t care.
But Talafreako’s economic policies are pure DSA socialism, green scam, wackodoodleness. Not enough emphasis on that.
“Democrats and those modeled as likely to vote for Democrats have cast an even higher share of early votes in all states except for Alaska and Michigan” ABC
Here is Sandy Springs GA the early vote is higher than normal.
“Democratic and Republican strongholds around Atlanta are posting big gains over 2022. But many RURAL counties are struggling to keep pace.” Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Red Team needs to up its ground game as we enter the 2d half.
