We’re in the final weeks of the 2026 midterms, and some say a blue wave is coming. That’s just not happening. It won’t be like 2018 — a 25+ seat flip isn’t in the cards. Those days are over. Now, some top pollsters are skeptical of the latest tranche of surveys, including Frank Luntz, who admitted he got 2016 wrong and that Trump supporters don't respond to pollsters.
Now, we have New York Times reporter and Michigan native Jeremy Peters noting that the thing we knew could happen — Jewish Democrats voting Republican — is a real thing in the Detroit suburbs. Peters called this a big deal: these are lifelong Jewish Democrats, and they’re voting Republican for the first time ever. Former Clinton pollster Mark Penn noted that if five percent of Haley Stevens supporters flip, Stevens ran against El-Sayed in the Democrat primary, former Rep. Mike Rogers will likely win. Peters added that the polling is oversampling El-Sayed’s overeducated base, Democrat voters are reluctant to say they’re splitting tickets, and yes, the Trump vote is underestimated.
Steve Kornacki said the same thing about the latest slate of Senate polls on NBC: the Democratic leads are tenuous at best. If the polls underestimate the Trump vote again by 2-3 points, as they have, the GOP could retain control of Congress.

Not from me. As they say, stopped clocks are right twice a day . He seems to take good care of that squirrel that lives on his head, so when he makes sense, ok by me
If by some miracle we keep both houses it would be such a glorious day..heck even James Carville said that he’d rather see Republicans win than see these DSA whack jobs control everything
Frank Luntz…ugh (lol) sorry.
Btw the article makes sense. At first I thought “there’s no way Jews will break for Republicans “. However if 5% or a bit more do that certainly would make a difference.
Their top idiot senator is doubling down on her party uber alles.
Black Vote also.
I voted today in a very Republican district in Texas.
The poll workers were all very obviously angry liberal democrats who were scowling at me. Fat angry black women and purple haired lesbians with 100 piercings.
I wouldn’t trust them to deliver a pizza without spitting on it.
We need to do better.
Despite all the handwringing, the Jewish vote is irrelevant outside of NY and NJ, unless you have a Bush v. Gore 100 vote situation.
Jews make up 1.29% of the population in MI.
Now blacks catching on that this Arab hates them is HUGE.
Maybe they were angry because your heavy Republican district was flooding the polls with voters!
About to early vote in Texas. NO DIMS!!!!!
There were like 3 people at the polling place. I walked right in.
REPUBLICANS NEED TO GO VOTE. AND URGE PEOPLE TO GO VOTE, ESPECIALLY AT YOUR CHURCHES.
I voted in a purple county in Texas yesterday and got a weird vibe too.
The Jewish vote in NY, NJ, and CT used to be very important, back when those were swing states. Now they are so solid blue they can’t make a difference.
