Republican Ads on Sunday Night Football

Posted on 10/19/2026 1:56:10 AM PDT by 7thson

First off, for those of you who do not watch the NFL, do not watch television, cut their cable, and so on - we get it. We hear from you guys every time there is something sports related posted. If you can help yourselves, please refrain from telling all of us you do not watch the NFL or television anymore. We know. We've heard it before.

Now for anyone watching tonight's game, did you catch the two political ads for Ken Paxton?

At first, I thought why am I seeing this in Tennessee. Than I realized that this game being national televised, will reach millions of voters in Texas.

What I would like to see is the Republican Party put an add during a national televised game that says something along the lines of there are candidates running for office thought the nation that belong to the Democratic Socialists of America, are sympathetic to Islam, or sympathetic to those illegal immigrants in this nation or want to come here illegally. These candidates do not have allegiance to the United States nor want the United States to succeed. These candidates and the groups they support and have allegiance to have openly stated they want to tear apart the U.S. Constitution, do away with the Presidency, the Congress, stack the Supreme Court, and install Sharia law within the United States. And if they tell you otherwise, all you have to do is look at Virginia. The current governor ran as a moderate and upon taking office, she attempted to stack the voting districts in Democratic favor and tore down what the last Republican governor installed.

Something along those lines. I know they will never do it, but it would be nice to see.

I figured every bit of local ad time time was soldout. So they were forced to buy national time.

Only the candidate’s campaigns have guarantees of low ad prices - PACs and unaffiliated groups don’t. Depending on the conditions, a national ad buy can actually be cheaper for these groups.

We all disagree with one another even here on the FR.

But most of us love this country and want it to succeed. We just have differing ideas on how to get to our nirvana or even what that place looks like.

That said, today America is full of people that truly hate this country. They come here for the material wealth, they want the house, car and pool, but they deep down inside “hate” every aspect of us.

Immigration isn’t about freedom or even human rights today. Almost all these immigrants just seek money - wealth. They are not looking for a country with a solid Constitution which guarantees certain religious and other freedoms, property rights, an impartial justice system by ones peers...

I worked for folks in the FBI who were Americans on paper, with the highest clearances possible, and had they been given an order to put people on a train to Auschwitz, they would do it if they saw a person gain in it. They had zero concept of what this place is about, and these are the people sworn in under a Constitution and supposedly defending it.

Many of these folks aren’t smart enough to ask themselves why this society was so successful and the shit-hole they came from failed. No, they even blame the shit-holes failure on the US, not the the corruption, some warlord, or oppressive and backward religion.

Today you have people with the highest clearances, in political offices, government agencies, the military, who are outright disloyal to this country.

That is not healthy.

I agree with you; wish they would run those ads. Reasons why they don't:

They are a total bummer, though absolutely true.

People don't want to hear depressing stuff during a football game.

The Moose Limb-Communist axis is quite real but people can't put their head around it yet, unfortunately. It's like the rise of the NSDAP in 1930s Germany. Very, very bad. But very ignored for the longest time.

But the message IS getting out.

The Communists within our government and people have been identified and spoken of, plainly.

(I would like the comeback of 60s sayings like, "Kill a commie for your Mommy" LOL but that's just me.)

It's something which would never have happened 5 years ago!

Actually, we are beyond lucky to have such a brave POTUS who just calls a spade a spade and talks about the invasion, the Communists, etc., every day, all day.

We would be ruined without DJT.

With him we have a fighting chance.

He is priceless right now! A gift from above.

Republicans only list their accomplishments to Republican audiences like Trump rallies. They preach to the choir. This is why it is The Stupid Party. No common sense.

You offer good content for a national ad.

I think that it’s worth telling people that Democrats:

Owned the slaves
Segregated the races
Removed Indians from east of the Mississippi river
Interned Japanese Americans

New York Governor Kathy Hochul had an ad and it might just as well had been at Blakeman ad.

She talked about how Blakeman was a MAGA supporter and Trump endorsed and how he believed in Trump’s agenda...

Blakeman should send her a thank you note

I hate the NFL but love the game and my Patriots...I don’t watch TV because I can’t get the Patriot games on most of the times but watch TV when they’re on or there’s a series or something I like. Fox News sucks. I only watch it during coffee, breakfast, lunch, supper and occasionally at night if the Patriots aren’t on or there’s a series I’m watching but it’s on in the background most of the day.

In response to your post, I didn’t see the ads but I do know the GOP sucks at messaging. We have great ideas but can’t seem to turn them into a well designed 30 second spot.

It is a weird dichotomy that in many cases, it is cheaper to buy ad time on a national basis than it is in just Texas alone.

It is probably true for some other states but not sure.

Because the political ads were more inspiring and fun to watch than the Cowboys last night.

I got the Texas Republican ad here in Florida, so I’m glad it is out on the air...

There was a great ad on during the 4 PM Buffalo/Vegas game. Hammered the Democrats on tax cuts.

Before I retired, I worked for over 20 years in the FedGov system - as a contractor and employee. I saw what you wrote about. I even met military personnel in the Pentagon that had no concept of the Bill of Rights. While working for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and having a discussion, I was told to shut up while I was talking about the Constitution.

As Mark Levin says, running ads like that is picking low hanging fruit - but the Republicans will not do it.
