The moral architecture of Western civilization rests upon two interlocking pillars of intrinsic worth: the inviolable dignity of the human person and the correlative demand for personal freedom. These standards, far from being contingent historical accidents, constitute the decisive ethical achievement of a specific civilizational lineage. That lineage unites the Hebraic insistence upon the equal standing of every soul before a transcendent moral law with the Greco-Roman discovery of rational inquiry, constitutional restraint, and the dignity of the free citizen.
The resulting synthesis produced a culture capable of generating institutions—limited government, independent judiciary, scientific method, market exchange under rule of law—that have elevated human welfare to levels without parallel in recorded history. Measured against these criteria, Western civilization stands beyond serious comparison with any rival order, past or present.
Yet the very success of this order has been accompanied by an accelerating internal dissolution. Since 1945, a systematic erosion of Western self-understanding has proceeded with remarkable consistency. The process is not the spontaneous decay of prosperity, nor the inevitable twilight of a mature culture. It is the calculated outcome of a strategy first articulated by Antonio Gramsci, Italian communist, and later popularized by Rudi Dutschke, German socialist, as the “long march through the institutions.”
Rather than storming the barricades, the radical left elected to colonize the universities, the media, the cultural bureaucracies, and the administrative state. The objective was never merely the redistribution of material goods; it was the reconstruction of the moral grammar through which the West interprets itself.
The results are now visible in the education of successive generations. Young Westerners are systematically instructed to regard their own ancestors as the primary agents of historical evil. Colonialism, slavery, and racial hierarchy are presented not as episodes within a larger trajectory of self-correction, but as the defining essence of

I think we are at one of the great pivot points in history.
The Communists and the Islamists have linked up. If they win, they will destroy our civilization and throw the world into a long period of darkness (marked, probably, by a war between the Communists and the Islamists).
If the West can stand fast, I think both Communism and Islamism may fall into the dustbin of history. The triumph of Western science and technology and most importantly Freedom will be complete and the West and the rest of the world may enter a Golden Age.
Or, alternatively, AI might just kill everyone.
Three paths. But now is the time for choosing.
The West is a fulfilment of II Tim 3:5.
They want the blessings of God, or His power, without God. That is why you’ll find liberals will start at above the throne of God in trying to create Righteousness.
Take Christianity out of the picture, and it falls apart.
Fulton Sheen, who was recently beatified, pointed out almost one hundred years ago that at the end of the day, it is only the Catholic Church that will (can) defeat communism.

Agreed. Regarding Islam, it’s like another pivot point: Europe in 1938.
The Nazis made their intentions crystal clear. And they had already committed acts of great brutality. Yet the West thought appeasement would work.
Appease and ignore. And somehow, the problem would fix itself.
Replace “Nazis” with “Islamists” in the above, and you’ve got today’s situation.

If you do any reading on the subject, his name appears eventually.

Yep. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. They’ll go after each other once they eliminate us.

Yep. He recognized early on that Marx idea that the working class would spontaneously rise up and displace capitalism and institutionalize a socialist paradise was never going to happen. Instead, he said, for communism to take over, a better way would be for activist cadres to infiltrate existing institutions and surreptitiously take them over.
His ideas have been an unmitigated success story for the left.
And a cruel hoax and death for hundreds of millions of normal citizens. But for the Left...all according to plan.
Another pathetic, corrosive, destructive from murderous European ideas, like the ones we see pushed by people like USA-FRANCE on this website.
We are headed to civil war war here in the U.S. at warp speed.
I hope we are not, but it is really up to the left to stop trying to enslave our country. They actually seem to be getting more aggressive.
