Don’t livestream jihadi-fascist Hasan. We shouldn't turn justfiable punishmebt into something like a spectacle.
We are not Iran, Palestinian Gaza regime, ISIS or narco thugs. We stand for freedom, and human dignity—not the ideologies that crush them. We must be principled enough to reject extremism without becoming extremists ourselves. **Don’t amplify what undermines the values we truly defend.**
And we are peope of faith.

Respectfully disagree. Livestream in this instances is as close as we can come to the “Public Square.”
I respect your opinion. However, may I remind you how our enemies will portray the shooting of a wheelchair-bound person?
That said, of course, jihadofascist murderer Hasan deserves the harshest punishment.
If it happens it may be like a lot of good that has come from Trump, it may contribute to the public growing up and being exposed to reality by the fact that we are actually fighting things now, from cartels to Islam and foreigners and foreignness.
Pondering a military execution of an Islamic terrorist wearing the uniform of an American Army office, is a sobering thought, and making it public emphasises that it is us against them.
It was good enough for the Old West, and it’s just fine now. Public executions for heinous crimes serve two purposes. They provide justice. They serve as cautionary tales for witnesses who might consider committing crimes in the future.
Anyone over 12 should be able to experience this teachable moment.
I agree with Palmer Lucky:
“My position is simple: Executions should be public and brutal, not private and medicalized. They are the ultimate example of the state’s monopoly on violence, and the only way to keep that from running out of control is to confront voters with the trade they have made every single time, that they might have appropiate confidence or revulsion in the institution.
This is not new thinking. George Washington thought the same. The way we have shifted from hanging to firing squads to doctors quietly injecting chemicals that send our worst gently off to sleep is awful and dystopian, a total short-circuiting of important feedback mechanisms. It makes needless executions more likely, not less so. People who demean this as barbaric or yucky miss the whole point. It doesn’t somehow become torture or inhumane (as the UN is suddenly claiming) just because we decline to hide the act behind a curtain.
And then there are those who suggest any revel in the death of those who truly deserve it is an indicator of a broken or diseased mind. To the contrary. It is normal, good, and aligned with our natural and national order. That it has not been done here in 60 years is an indictment in and of itself.
And that is without even getting into the fact that men were not hung for stealing horse, but that horses may not be stolen.
“I would to God that one of the most attrocious in each State was hung in Gibbets, up on a gallows five times as high as the one prepared by Haman. No punishment, in my opinion, is too great for the Man, who can build his greatness upon his Country’s ruin.”
- George Washington, 1778

Hang in the public square and leave him for the birds.
Hasan was a Major in The United States military. Trained as A Psychiatric Medical Doctor. He walked into a Hospital waiting Room hollering “Allah Akbar” and murdered a dozen Soldiers and wounded twice as many more.
These facts alone show that Islam is a clear and present Danger anywhere and at Anytime.
As I see it Islam is not compatible with any Civil Society and This Needs to be
Driven Home to Western Civilization.
The guy’s a terrorist. The last minutes of his life, and his death should be aired for anyone who wants to see justice being served.
he should be show by women and victims slowly
before being buried with a pig,
and not allowed to speak.
... be shot ...
How can you shoot a person in a wheelchair?
Easy, you just don’t lead him so far!
Isn’t he in a wheelchair as a result of his crime?
I do hear what you’re saying and I don’t really care if they livestream it or not.
I believe he should be put down quickly and humanely because we aren’t barbarous, even to barbarians.
Justice would have seen this done long ago.
Our enemies execute innocent people. Hasan chop is a murdering criminal.
Read the Word of God and become a.Christian.
James 2:17
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone
“He should be SHOT BY WOMEN and victims slowly”.
.
Absolutely: deny his “faith” to an ethereal afterlife...
He’s Muslim. I am not. This country isn’t either.

Hear, hear. These punishments are meant as public displays of what happens to those who do the worst things in society. It use to be public stoning at one point. Non-capital punishments used to include things like the stocks. It’s a good lesson for, “you do not want this to happen to you.”
The last thing I would say is that incarceration should be cruel for middle offenses, but we have both made incarceration so comfortable *AND* allowed the streets to become such hellholes in inner cities that a significant fraction actually *choose* incarceration as a lifestyle. We need to clean up crime in the inner cities.
He should have been executed immediately and in the most public way possible, for the sake of humanity and faith. He is after all, a mass murderer.
To this day, that demon possessed excuse for a man has no remorse.
Government has been entrusted with punishing evil including capital punishment, by God.
What good does it do, to hide the punishment. The public deserves to witness justice.
