This video features Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin highlighting the Trump administration's efforts regarding immigration enforcement and deportation operations in Louisiana.
Key takeaways from the video:
Deportation Operations: The Secretary displays footage of deportation flights being loaded, stating that an average of six flights depart daily (0:00-1:04). He emphasizes that the administration's goal is to remove individuals who entered the country illegally, regardless of how long they have been in the U.S. (0:07-0:15, 1:11-1:18).
Workforce Support: During a visit to a facility, the Secretary discusses investments in the DHS workforce, noting the importance of providing employees with the necessary tools for vetting and processing (1:44-2:10). He credits the department's vetting processes with identifying thousands of individuals with potential security concerns (2:25-2:56).
Administrative Priorities: The Secretary reaffirms that legal immigration is a priority and encourages following the established legal system. He characterizes immigration as a "political target" but maintains that his department's role is simply to enforce laws passed by Congress (4:26-5:06, 6:10-6:30).
Personal Reflections: Towards the end, the Secretary expresses appreciation for the DHS staff, describing them as a "patriotic group of people," and shares personal sentiments about his motivation for the role and his commitment to the mission (8:33-10:23).

Mullin is a tough guy.
I voted for this.
L
I did too
But, yesterday I saw a piece declaring that 500 Somali’s had been deported from Minnesota so far this year.
That’s a disappointing total, pissing in the ocean. I would thought there could be at least a thousand or so.
I VOTED FOR THIS!
Exactly.
Sending these people out of the country by air doesn't seem like efficient use of resources. Many came in by train, and they should leave the same way.
And, not considering how long they have been in the country is not the best approach. Many have assimilated over generations - to the point that extracting them while leaving serious criminals at large - is just not logical. We should give more consideration to those who have contributed constructively to our society over the decades (IMHO).
If we try to rely on the most recent couple of generations of Americans to do the hard work that illegals have been doing all this time, I can assure you from my own experience that we will not like the result ("Sir, that roof replacement is going to run you $100,000.")
it’s a start
And hopefully it keeps the ones still here scared and in hiding, so they don’t do more illegal actions (like voting or opening day care centers)
I think there are two reasons illegal entries have dropped precipitously. One, of course, is border enforcement. But also, seeing the deportations discourages new illegals from arriving.
Flying them out is too costly. Caravans of busloads should drive them to the Mexican border and shoo them across. Since Mexico enabled their entry in most cases let Mexico repatriate them!
