A new Tavus AI chatbot nearly passes for human in face-to-face interactions, the company claims.
Footage posted to X Thursday debuted Tavus’s Griffin chatbot, a first-of-its-kind Human Interaction Model the company says is the first to pass the Turing test, where a human user cannot tell they’re talking to a computer.
“48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%,” Tavus wrote on X, adding, “It is #1 on NVIDIA’s benchmark for full-duplex AI video.”
In one example shared, the model walks a human user through solving a Rubik’s cube.
In another demo, Griffin isn’t tricked during a game of Simon Says.
Here are some other demos conducted by the team released Thursday, including one example of Griffin giving dating advice.

hmmm
One of the ways to spot an AI image is the depth-of-field is wrong (the blurred zone in front of and behind your subject). The background always has a uniform amount of blurring. There is no gradation.
So they’re celebrating a Deepfake. Do they expect us to applaud?
the only thing remotely human is that it makes up a huge heaping pile of excrement if it is not sure about an answer.
just like any human high school student who was answering a test question and had only a vague idea of what the answer should be.
Do you know who Alan Turing was, and what the Turing test is?
Both have a long and influential history, and the ideas behind them are among the foundational concepts of modern computing (and artificial intelligence).
I was replying from this angle:
“Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.”
I apologize.
Good Lord!!!! Another Alex Jones piece of garbage.
No problem...should be an interesting thread.
Did you even read it?
Can you even read?
If I am doing something wrong, please have me banned so I don’t waste my time here anymore, but in case you haven’t noticed this place is dying.
If you were intelligent, you would just ignore posts you didn’t like.
You posted other people’s posts on Twitter via Alex Jones Live. No wonder FR is withering on the vine. This place used to be somewhat informative, fun and full of thoughtful debate. Now we all look like a bunch of kooks.
I sure miss the cooking threads.
Have me banned. Please. I beg of you.
“Griffin, I conceived of a new transmission I call the “turboencabulator” that not only supplies inverse reactive current for use in unilateral phase detractors, but also is capable of automatically synchronizing cardinal grammeters. Basically the only new principle involved is that instead of power being generated by the relative motion of conductors and fluxes, it is produced by the modial interaction of magneto-reluctance and capacitive diractance. Give your honest opinion of my invention. Will I be as rich as Elon Musk?”
