The site is significantly slow. Posts are placed, notification the tge post took takes 4-5 seconds longer than the usual immediate response time. Reflex is to push send again. The temptation is to push send again even twice. That’s what I think it is

Whenever FR is slow it gets fixed peompltly. But it’s not getting fixed
And I have done no double or multiple posts. During this particular problem

so ... you using a cell phone or not?
OFGS, cellphones have nothing to do with multiple posts.
I use my cellphone (iPhone SE2020), iPad Pro (what I'm on now), and a variety of computers, mostly Linux and MacOS. NONE of them, REPEAT NONE, are prone to multiple posts...

Everything else is an excuse for one of the two above reasons. Sorry, that's how it is.

Happens on both phones and pc’s.
I can tell you that multiple posts happen because the poster hit "Post" more than once, or their mouse hiccuped, or their finger on the touch screen jiggled (which isn't just on cellphones, touch screens are all over the place).
One exception -- many years ago while JohnRob was debugging a problem with the site, there was a brief interval during which some posts were logged multiple times due to a transient bug. It was brief, and AFAIK has never happened before or since that time many years ago.
If you truly think cellphones are more prone to multiple posting, it's because of people's fingers, or a dirty screen, or they're not holding the phone still while they hit "Post". But it's not the cellphone inherently.

I used a smart phone, but the site is very slow lately.
When click on “post”, my Smartphone drops a banner and darkens the “post” button.
Then I wait. A few seconds later, my post goes “live”.
