The Justice Department announced yesterday the indictment of postal worker Damon Matai Seeii (yeah, I know…) of Payson, Utah for “Unlawful secretion, destruction and delay of mail.” It seems that Seeii had trashed several hundred (the exact number is uncertain, but it’s over 300) ballots for reasons that remain unclear. The ballots involved votes made in last June’s primary election.
A number of voters in the district complained to the county clerk that they had not received their ballots as they’d expected. The clerk, God bless him, checked voting records and learned that voting in that district had suffered a precipitous drop, indicating that something was seriously amiss. Further investigation led straight to Matai.
While you could argue that this is a trivial prosecution, a mere drop in the waterfall of voting irregularities around the country, there are other factors to consider, above all the timing. The fact that this action is being taken just six weeks before the midterms is no accident, comrades. The DoJ is clearly sending a message. You will recall that many of the “irregularities” that occurred in 2020 involved mail-in ballots along with extremely sketchy behavior by the Postal Service and its employees. The Dems targeted the Postal Service for obvious reasons, and there’s no reason to believe that they’d back off this time around.
So this prosecution – and no doubt others that we’ll hear about shortly – is intended as a warning to any postal staff who might be open to temptation. It’s a little hint that when that guy from the DNC shows up in the parking lot with plenty of walking-around money and a list of voters’ names and addresses, it would be wise to turn on the heels of your official Postal Service sneakers and walk away quickly.

Postal workers are govt employees and are strictly required by federal
law to refrain from the unlawful secretion, destruction, and delay of mail.
Under 18 US Code § 1703, it is a federal crime for any US Postal Service officer or employee to
unlawfully secrete, destroy, detain, delay, or open any mail entrusted to them or is in their possession.

I think that if a postal worker is caught with mail fraud, he/she ought to do time in jail AND have their pension revoked!
They came from Mexico, Nigeria, India, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Antigua and Barbuda, Venezuela, and Colombia.

Your comment made me think that the definition of treason here in America needs to be CLEARLY defined to include not only election interference but many other activities the intent of which is to undermine the principles upon which this country was founded.

Absolutely correct. Unfortunately, until we’re able to rid the Congress of all Democrats and RINOs, criminal acts by postal employees will never cease, and indeed will probably increase!
