Two young men, identified by police as leaders of a banned University of Wisconsin fraternity, were arrested for an alleged horrific hazing incident.
Fraternity president Brayden J Klein and vice president Samuel N Vane, both 20, were taken into custody by the Madison Police on Wednesday.
The officers arrived at the location at 8.20pm after they received an ‘anonymous tip' about the events that were taking place at the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, located along the 100 block of Langdon Street, Madison, about 80 miles west of Milwaukee.
They allegedly found 30 half-clothed teens covered in ‘food, condiments, and other liquids’ in a grungy, sweltering basement.
‘A thermostat in the room was set to 81 degrees creating hot and humid conditions,’ the department report said.
The majority of the victims were recognized as 18-year-olds, the police added.
Klein and Vane were arrested and taken to Dane County Jail for disorderly conduct over the alleged hazing.
No other charges have been announced in relation to the incident, CBS News reported. The Madison Police Department said that the investigation remains ‘ongoing and active.’

I think the Navy lost something when they did away with these rites. They were bonding and memorable, and as disgusting as they were, few people were hurt doing it.
Just humiliated, and almost always, even for a Captain becoming a shellback, with a grin.
Females don’t fit in and they see violence and danger when men get a little wild and are bonding, the entire military has had to adjust to the female mind and their feelings of fear and intimidating male energy that scares them.

Wait a minute. We just got out of weeks of 90F+ temperatures for 8 or more hours a day. 81F is nothing.
If the kids were’t being held against their will, if they were willingly subjecting themselves to the hazing, how is this a police matter? Now, the university is another matter, and the leaders getting booted I’d be good with.

81 degrees is sweltering? The kids had a little ketchup and mustard on them? So, what. While I’s certain they did not relish the treatment, this sounds like a tempest in a teapot. This may be stupid but there are far more serious problems that need attention.
