The City of David Excavations, which extends up to and under the Temple Mount, were collecting Bronze Age Artifacts. The City itself was started after David conquered Jebus and Salim, in the 9th and 10th centuries before the Common Era. In fact, the name Jerusalem is a contraction from the names of Jebusite Cities of Jebus and Salim.
