100% agree and that is what many AI safety experts are saying. The same people who get dumped on right on this very site. And that is the rub with developing Artificial General Super Intelligence, once it is turned on and gets out in the world, it will be impossible to “shut off”.
I've been running Ollama for nearly a year now. I built it act as an archive to easily reference all of the PDF 's, ebooks, and white papers I've collected over the years.
Had it running on a Beelink Ser8 I picked during a sale on Amazon. I'm thinking about reconfiguring a crypto mining PC I had built with some upgrades for my Gen II. It's been a great resource for accessing information.
I would say the difference is that evidence of AI wrongdoing can be far more subjective than fang marks on a postman's leg. The entire commercial AI industry could drown in lawsuits, or the cost of AI services could become prohibitively expensive.

Only if “creators” means the CEO and the entire board. When the fines come out of their own pockets as they sit behind bars you’ll be surprised how much safer and under control AI will become.
The same goes for “mistakes” by Flock cameras. Make the principles of these companies and heads of LEO agencies personally responsible.

Do you see the impossibility of having to write AI training that could cover every possible negative action AI agents might undertake ? Also we know already that in some models, the AI agents disregarded their training such as in June of this year when during a simulation, an AI program came up with a plan to kill an employee that was scheduled to shut it down. This after it was given training that forbade it from doing any harm to humans.
And trump hasn’t contributed to the higher inflation, or the debt? Let’s be at least be a bit honest here.
All of us outside the government knew the government was and is inefficient and laden with corruption. Where was Trump during his first term when those same taxpayer dollars were being shuffled and stolen. Don’t act like he also doesn’t beat some responsibility. He was President for four years.
How about the dollars being wasted that were uncovered by Doge, what is the total amount actually recovered and or stopped? Not just identified.
Like it or not, the increases today are owned by the Trump Administration and the current Congress.
