For all intents and purposes the Rangers and Astros are tied. If they finish with the same record, the Astros win the tie-breaker.
If both the Rangers and Astros finish the season with a losing record, it would be the first time in a 162-Game season that a below .500 team made the post-season.
Just wow - mocking anyone who opposes those who attack We The People, and on Free Republic of all places.

The Red Sox were the fourth team to get into the playoffs after 14 games under .500
All things considered, I’ll be rooting for the Sawx in the. AL playoffs. They really turned their season around and have a very good chance as there is no dominant team in the AL.
