I read a moderately long article about Danish leaders mocking the agreement because all that Trump noise and effort for what amounts to the same old status quo agreement, there were still no details on the actual agreement but near the end the anti-Trump Dane politician said that it did give us permanent rights to our military occupation and removed it from depending if NATO existed or not, well that is HUGE, also through the mocking tone, if you read between the lines it seemed to concede that Russia, China and others are kept out, forever, in other words HUGE.
I think we are going to like this a lot when the details emerge.
In other words, exactly what Trump always said America *needed* before he went into deal mode and demanded ten times more before ‘conceding’ to his original goals and letting Greenland and the Danish government pretend to save face while getting exactly what America needs.
Lucky Trump? Lucky America.
That’s the media doing their usual “anti Trump” article.
This is the greatest surrender by Denmark since the Battle of Copenhagen in 1801. If needed, a few years from now, when US military and economic power dominate Greenland, Demark can be squeezed to give up the last shred of sovereignty over the island.
