DOJ announced eight non-citizens in Texas and other cases in Idaho, Georgia,
Massachusetts, Wisconsin, New Jersey and Michigan are being charged with:

<><>false claims of US citizenship to register or vote,
<><>false statements related to naturalization.
<><>alleged passport fraud
<><>identification fraud,
<><>wire fraud
<><>firearm-related offenses.
Just part of a broader Trump administration enforcement effort
targeting alleged illegal voting......and election-related crimes.
The Georgia case involves Analiea Milliscent Eccles:
<><>she is a Venezuelan national
<><>and is also a DACA recipient,
<><>Eccles voted nine times between 2008 and 2024.
<><>she is charged with voting as a noncitizen
<><>and falsely claiming US citizenship to vote.
Falsely and willfully claiming U.S. citizenship can result in severe immigration bars, deportation, and criminal prosecution including up to three years in prison.
Immigration Consequences
Permanent Inadmissibility: Acts as a lifetime bar to entering the U.S. or adjusting status to a green card.
Deportation: Renders the individual immediately deportable from the United States.
Criminal and Civil Penalties
Imprisonment: Falsely and willfully representing citizenship (under 18 U.S.C. § 911) carries up to three years in prison.
Fines: Subject to federal criminal fines.
Civil Penalties: Potential additional penalties for document fraud under immigration law.
