Dr. Musser first talks about his books and work history for the first 10 minutes. After that, the discussion talks about the Russo-Ukraine war. Musser provides its historical context rooted in the history of the Soviet Union, its fall, and the significance of the Budapest Mermorandum signed in 1994 that was broken when Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014. Musser further talks about the criminal state that comprises the Kremlin, Ukraine’s own troubles, and Paul Manafort’s efforts in Ukraine for 10 years that strangely is never discussed. Musser concludes by discussing the spiritual angle of the war that is seldom appreciated.

The Budapest Memorandum really went out the window when the Russians intercepted and leaked Nuland's call, wherein she and the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine picked the replacement for the Ukrainian President weeks before he was overthrown by a violent mob.
It sounds like pro-Kremlin propaganda which I am very skeptical of, and even if it were true, President Yanukovych was just a Russian puppet whose plan was to make Ukraine subservient to Moscow. The idea that Russia cares about Ukrainian independence is absurd on its face. That is the last thing they want.
