In grade school in the 60's, we'd watch for cars and could identify make and model. Year for the hat ones. Granted, there were fewer makes and models. I don't know why they don't bring back the classic styles

Todays cars all conform to the aerodynamical design necessitated by enviro milage standards. There is no allowance made for style. If a car doesn’t meet the milage standard because Style aerodynamic drag reduces milage, It will not sell well.
