I've driven one. It was fun. Much better than my uncle's classic TR6, and then TR7 he let me drive a couple of times. Took a used Z3 for a test drive once. That was fun, too. Loved the looks of the thing and almost purchased.

I would buy one of these Mazvettes.

I suspect they will keep the Mazda engine and drivetrain. I wonder how the larger body style affects the handling. Miata's are fun, but they feel like cart racing to me....so tiny.

I'll give the design props for trying going with a new style.

Years ago there was a white Miata with black spots that would drive through Harvard Square. It had a horn that sounds like MOO. It was called a Moo-ata. The first House of Blues there also had a Dodge Monaco Police car driving around. Those were the days.
