Rep. María Elvira Salazar (R-FL) has taken direct aim at President Donald Trump and his immigration crackdown in a new re-election ad, warning that the Hispanic voters who helped return him to the White House in 2024 now feel “betrayed.”
The congresswoman, who endorsed Trump in 2024 and urged Hispanic voters to back him, delivered the unusually direct message to the president as she campaigns for another term in her Miami-area district.
“Mr. President, some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far. In July, 50% of the 50,000 people that were detained had no criminal record. Be careful what your advisors are telling you about immigration policy. The same Hispanics who helped you get to the White House in 2024 feel betrayed today,” she warned in the ad.
She continued: “You can be for immigration what [Abraham] Lincoln was for slavery and [Ronald] Reagan was for communism. I’m not talking about giving them amnesty. I’m talking about giving them a dignified life in this promised land.”

The video comes weeks before the November midterm elections, when Salazar will face Democratic nominee Eliott Rodriguez in Florida’s 27th Congressional District. Salazar won the Republican primary in August.
Salazar has otherwise been an ally of Trump. She endorsed his 2024 campaign and Trump gave Salazar his “Complete and Total Endorsement” in February.
President Trump should clearly and publicly revoke his endorsement, imo.
Naa big or small deport them all
That guy sitting in church holds a job a citizen should have. Lives in a home a citizen should have. Eats the food a citizen should have. Burns the fuel, his anchor sits at a school desk…….
I could go on igaf if he is a saint. If here illegals he goes home
He’s stealing from the rest of us
Incorrect, they are here illegally, so they now have a criminal record.
Unfortunately barring some miracle turn around, they’re likely going to lose the mid terms bad. Going to lose the house and probably the Senate. Then it will be nothing but impeachments. He started out so good with doge, no tax on overtime, tips. Then he screwed up with the Epstein files. Pam Bondi disaster. But he had a great state of the Union speech that bumped his polls up. Instead of riding the momentum, almost immediately he bombs Iran. His polls have been drowning ever since. Had a real chance to take the country back. Now we got communist pied pipers all over the place stealing the populist message that Trump ran on. After all he overcame I don’t think he has it to turn course. He is surrounded by yes men. I think it’s done. Pray I’m wrong.
Senate polls are looking ok. Dems are running bad Canidates.
Yes, we should kick out every illegal
and there is your simple answer to a complex situation.
You are just like the libs who look at CO2 as the answer to global warming.
What I fear more than anything is simple answers to complex questions. It creates more problems than they solve. Simple answers to simple problems are ok.
and what I fear is managing for what you don’t want. Managing for what you don’t want does not lead to solutions. It is a French revolution if you have any understanding of history.
and what I fear is people without thinking caps and no problem solving skills.
The immigration issue is complex. The goal is good citizens, whether foreign or domestic origination.
Do you know what a good citizen is?
Our founding fathers had clear goals. Do you understand your history? Are you guided by a deep philosophy of life or your emotions.
a bot, thanks for the laugh. That just means you can’t argue your position.
LOL OK, BOT
LOL OK, BOT
