Texas Democrats have allegedly found a “roundabout” way to pay for votes in the critical Senate and governor’s races, according to an undercover video published Wednesday.
A Democratic operative with Texas Majority PAC admitted in the new footage released by the conservative outlet Townhall that the group is shelling out $25 per person for attendance at Zoom classes that discuss “bad things” Republicans are doing.
“We are paying people $25 to attend a one-hour Zoom class to learn why voting is important and why the Republicans are causing all of these bad things,” said Sky MacAdams, an organizing manager for Texas Majority PAC.

"So it’s like a roundabout way of paying people for their votes, essentially,” he added, calling the move a bit of a “gray” area.
Federal law prohibits payments in exchange for voting or not voting for certain candidates, with violators potentially facing up to two years in prison.

Wait I thought according to the left offering bribes for votes is a doggy no no, thats what I hear from the commies regarding Trumps 5K that he promised if the GOP wins the midterms, but giving gift cards for votes, all good as long as its for Dem votes..by the way Dems have been doing this for YEARS, I cant tell you how many times I read stories about people being given gift cards as long as they vote Democrat
$25 for voting Democrat v $5,000 if the Republicans win the Election. Either way, it obvious what both parties think of the voters. Now it is just a matter of price.
This does not quite look illegal to me.
But I could be wrong.

you have shown me the code. agree that the dems broke the spirit of the code. but paying people to listen to a motivational speech to vote does not sound like it breaks the letter of the code.
However, you also have the admission (FED Rule of Evidence 801 et seq.)
