Thank you very much and God bless you.

When Dolly passed away I said we need to bubble wrap Alison Krauss. This makes me sad.

I am sure a lot of people loved her,
but I never heard of her.

but I never heard of her.

In the movie, "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" she was part of the soundtrack.

Mia Tate, Musetta Vander, and Christy Taylor as the three sirens. Their singing voices are dubbed by Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss, and Gillian Welch.
Singing "Didn't Leave Nobody But the Baby"
She also sang "Down to the River to Pray" and "I'll Fly Away" along with Gillian Welch.

Alison Krauss is a bluegrass icon who appeared on the music scene in the late 1980s with her high, pure and sweet voice and talent as a fiddle player. She’s received 27 Grammys for her work.

This clip does not feature her singing but can give you an idea of her style of music....

voice has been so sweet over the last [has it already been?] decades.

It was 1989, and I was in San Diego for a technology conference. After a long day of meetings I went back to my hotel room to rest before dinner. Turned on the TV for whatever was on, and a man was announcing a new teenage bluegrass singer named Allison Krauss. My love of bluegrass began that day, 37 years ago.

She was also featured on 3 Pickers with Earl Scruggs, Doc Watson and Ricky Skaggs...really great concert album.

Ah, Allison...prayers for your complete recovery...

I’ve seen her both times she toured with Robert Plant as Plant and Krauss. She’s pretty wonderful.

I saw her on the Down From The Mountain tour way back in 2002.

I’d love to see that lineup again ..

Emmylou Harris
Alison Krauss & Union Station
Ricky Skaggs
Patty Loveless
Ralph Stanley
The Del McCoury Band
Jerry Douglas and Dan Tyminski
The Nashville Bluegrass Band
Norman & Nancy Blake
The Whites

Some heavenly voices on that tour .
