“meaningless commentary”. Good point. I watched 45 seconds of the video and discovered that the guy making comments was boring and not persuasive. Women should not be allowed to vote. I have never read a logic book written by a woman.
It's also very common for floozies like that to lie through their teeth.
Do you have incontrovertible evidence that she was, in fact, pregnant? That he was, in fact, the father of the child? With how many other men did she have sex in the days immediately before and after the alleged tryst with the guy? And just how did she "have to have an abortion?!"
Did you even give the guy a chance to present his side of the story?
Your little anecdote has so many holes in it, it could be used to strain linguini!

There are many reprobate men - men who deliberately exploit stupid, weak-willed, and vapid women who lack self-esteem and morals.
But they are not in the majority.
Birth control has had a massive and pernicious impact upon not only the "dating scene," but upon the cultural landscape and the demographics of the West. It has accelerated the downfall of the West as a whole. But an individual act of contraception - even when not in the context of a marriage - is not, per se, evil. It might be compared to eating a single chocolate bon-bon. It's the proverbial "slippery slope" to eating a whole box of bon-bons every day.
In contrast, abortion is an outright evil, and you should not conflate it with contraception, washing socks, or overly long engagements.
I know that you are capable of presenting a more-coherent and more-persuasive argument on behalf of your position, and would welcome your doing so. But you aren't going to convince anyone by simply stringing shop-worn tropes and tired clichés together.

2nd Vatican counsel......it pronounced that sex is not only for procreation but for the mutual enjoyment of the two married consenting adults..THAT folks is what really changed..sex was removed from being an instrument of procreation to simple pleasure....and we wonder why our birth rate is so low...
