Bruce Blakeman poll claims he’s within 4 points of toppling Hochul in NY governor’s race

Republican Bruce Blakeman could pull off a stunning upset in New York’s closely watched governor’s race — with the conservative challenger just four points behind Democratic incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul in a new poll.

Hochul only leads the underdog and current Nassau County executive 49.6% to 45.7% among likely voters, according to the survey conducted by McLaughlin & Associates for the Blakeman campaign.

The remaining 4.7% of likely voters are undecided, the poll, based on interviews with 800 likely voters from Aug. 27-31, shows.

The nail-bitingly close results reflect growing dissatisfaction with Hochul’s ability to lead the Empire State.

More than half of voters (55%) don’t have a favorable view of the governor, who is seeking a second term, pollsters found.

“The majority of voters (56%) believe that it’s time to give someone else a chance to do better, while only 38% say Kathy Hochul has performed well enough as Governor to deserve re-election,” pollster John McLaughlin said in a memo outlining the results.

Yeah, but Blakeman is still BEHIND, that’s the bottom line for me.

New York City represents over 40% of the vote of the state and I’m afraid the Mamdani-loving city ain’t gonna vote for him.

I’ll vote for Blakeman but it’s looking like another Lee Zeldin story.

Not a phookin chance-

They will advertise how close it is for the next few weeks.
Screech how Pubes are gonna steal the election. Orange Man Bad.

Then on election day, they will produce the slimmest margin of victory in years.

Miraculously, just outside the .05% automatic recount level.

It’s already paid for.

Pockets have been lined.
Zoning ordinaces have been stretched.
Publci “Investments” lined up.

Sadly, New York is very similar to California. It’s a one-party Democrat-machine, woke state - controlled by NY City and Albany politics.

And these people control the voting apparatus from top to bottom.

YES Virginia, there is a Santa Claus and NY’s elections are “manipulated.”

Blakeman would need to overcome a huge “margin of error”

unless he polled dead people and illegals, not sure I buy his chances. Those groups will turn out in droves for Hochul.

Yup, and Blakeman is an ass for entering the race, resulting in Elise Stefanik dropping out. Hochul will beat Blakeman by double digits.
