The idea now is specially a gas generator as opposed to car engine it seems.

Still a gas engine is a gas engine, LOL the twisted logic greens go through to worship gaia.

Sort of...this idea is more “Train Locomotive” in nature...gas/diesel engine just makes electricity....never drives the wheels like a Toyota hybrid.

Hybrids crispy critter at a higher rate than EVs.

And battery cost is still an issue.

I’ve got a hybrid.

(Although I often drive pretty slow if no one is behind me!)

Lol, yes it is called a hybrid. Toyota has had them for many yrs. It’s not a new concept.

Yes. Hybrids combine the best of both worlds. I wish I’d bought an Ioniq while it was still available as a plug in hybrid. The gas mileage was insanely good. The new Ioniq’s are electric only, which sucks.
