I always vote. Haven’t missed an election since I turned 18 back in the 70s. I’m in MA, so my vote never really counts, but I always vote.

But I am nevertheless firmly convinced that voting doesn’t matter. In the US, in Europe, all over the place, The Powers That Be have ways to make sure that only the “right people” manage to win. Trump is the big anomaly.

But the notion we all have to get out there and “vote harder” really bothers me. The thing that would make a real difference here in the US is election reform (like the SAVE Act). And the GOP clearly doesn’t want that. Your representatives don’t really want your vote to count. You can see that clearly in Germany, but it’s no different here in the US.

Potus trusts the system, he votes by mail.

You’re not alone.

I live in Washington state (100% mail-in voting). I agree with every word in your post.

Voting is like going to a casino. You may win the jackpot one day but it will never make up for all of the losses. The house always wins because the game is rigged.

I would argue that President Trump is NOT an anomaly.

Sure, the PTB are fully against him and are in semi-open sedition, but think of how he unites the left.

They literally have no platform than Orange Man is a big meany.

He is a wonderful distraction to cover their horrible agenda.

I differ. Here in the USA we elected President Trump twice, with Republican congressional majorities both times. He is leading a counter revolution. The Republican party has become the Trumpian Party.

Sure, there are old hanger-ons, especially in the Senate. But the old order is dying, no matter how much they struggle to keep control of power.
