OpenAI has reportedly hired Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s daughter Jessica Schumer for a top policy job as Silicon Valley increasingly works to shore up ties with Democrats ahead of November’s midterm elections.
Jessica Schumer, Amazon’s former top public-policy official in New York, is joining OpenAI to handle the company’s government outreach and partnerships in Northeastern states, Axios reported, citing a spokesperson for the AI giant.
The Harvard and Yale-educated Schumer brings deep ties to Democratic politics and government to OpenAI, which is rapidly expanding its operations in Washington, DC, and state capitals as lawmakers wrestle with how to regulate the booming industry.
Before joining Amazon in 2020, Schumer’s résumé included serving in the Obama White House as chief of staff of the Council of Economic Advisers and working as policy director for Tim Kaine during Hillary Clinton’s unsuccessful 2016 presidential campaign.
OpenAI’s hiring of Jessica Schumer could draw scrutiny because her father, a Dem, helped lead the Senate’s push to develop federal AI policy, including a series of bipartisan forums that culminated in a policy roadmap.
Her younger sister Alison Schumer has also built a career in tech, working at Facebook and Instagram before moving to Airbnb and later returning to Facebook.
Her roles have included policy and communications at Instagram, public affairs at Airbnb and product marketing at Facebook.

This is a sign that the Democrats will take over Congress in November and there’s a good sign that they’ll win the White House in 2028.
I’m sure she’s as qualified to be at OpenAI as Hunter Biden was at being in the board of Burisma.
Big Tech says: Go Woke Get Paid
All the right people hate Grok.
Gotta pay the Hunter tax!
And now they have
Hummmm interesting.
OpenAI makes $1 but spends $10 and taxpayers have lots of money OpenAI can steal
of course they would. hiring in the big tech companies has been overwhelmingly leftist since 0bama
Grok:
ChatGPT went from near-total dominance of a new category in 2022–2023 to a still-leading but contested ~46–55% range (depending on the measure) by 2026, with the overall AI chatbot market far larger and more competitive. Data is estimated from analytics firms (Sensor Tower, Similarweb, etc.) and evolves quickly.

The guts of all AI systems are engineered by 70% Indians imported to the USA to replace white American men.
Big Tech cozies up to Democrats ahead of midterms: Keeping a push over on line is a power and money grab with lots of dark deals ahead.
the animus between musk and openai knows no bounds so this is a natural move.
It’s your opinion that OpenAI staff know the future, or just more blackpilling?
The more cogent idea would be that many OpenAI staffers are leftists and are doing like Netflix and others have done and are hedging a bet.
Ds win, they have an in. Rs win, Chuck still owes them a favor and they can afford a few nepo positions.
They can make an educated guess.
There are no guarantees but they have data that the Democrats are more motivated this November.
