I eat raw salmon sashimi pretty much every day and have done so for many years. It is king salmon from New Zealand, available at my local Wegmans supermarket. Never a single problem.
When I lived in AK, the story was that a lot of worms were found in the halibut people caught. I actually heard the word, “dancing”, relative to the worms when the fish was being cleaned. Gross.
I never saw it myself, but other said they saw it all the time. IDK if it was true or if they were pulling my leg.
